Acclaimed USA and Mexico-based, global Jazz fusion singer-songwriter, and anthropologist of Africa and its Diaspora, Dr. Jacqueline “Bouvier” Copeland (aka “Bouvier”), curated, executive produced, and sang a musical love song concert to Brazil, celebrating Carnival in Rio de Janeiro at Dida Bar and
Restaurant on 9 February 2024. Dr. Copeland is also founder of Soul Fusion, an international music initiative promoting community healing through the transformative power of Black music worldwide for all people. The ElMiraculoso Band created bossa nova, samba, and salsa arrangements for many of the songs, which also included spiritual, blues, jazz, and R&B standards as well as Dr. Copeland’s original compositions. Concert arrangements were made by Wellington Lins of the Rio-based company, Berimbautour. Here are the composer credits with other production credits below.
