Yes. Control of your blade motion by repetitions and muscle memory is the key. Do this methodically and slowly at first, and increase your speed or reaction with practice. I was taught this. I was taught 'muliples' in lieu of only duplicate attacks. This is the only difference between your good method and my own. I am not saying my teaching is better, but only 'different.' My Instructor taught: Three or more repetitive combos of attacks/slashes/thrusts often lead to 'opportune' points or targets on your attacker due to flinching or reacting. This was called 'opening up' an attacker for counterattack.I was taught to use up to four hooks and slashes, or either option alone, always changing the repetitions so you cannot be predicted and ambushed. One other strategy I was taught: carry 2 or 3 knives on your person. "Stealing the Negative": I heard this aplenty, and I imprinted this fine rule to do this automatically. Good one. Constant concentration on an attacker is the key here. Thank you, Instructor. I have learned, thanks to you; and this is optimal. Stay safe. Happy New Year to you and your family. I hope you make more videos! I have subscribed.

Nein Jawol Criminals must learn form somewhere, Nein, and it's likely from other criminals engaging the weak in an ambush. Even observing a criminal fight is learning. I do see your point. Take the 'good moves' from all good sources, combine them, and fight by a personal combination of these learned principles. Minus the criminal element, I've done this too. Peace to you too. Stay sharp!

Nein Jawol Hey Nein, I'm glad I helped you and your good point along. I know you're not hating on anyone, and you are being forthright and good. I saw that quickly. You are an intelligent person...I can see that too. I stand beside you on your point. Heck, Nein, keep up the post and don't worry about others being ugly. You speak the truth and from the heart. You aren't bragging...just telling the truth! Good going...peace and stay safe, Nein! (I'm an American, by the way...just saying. Where you reporting form, if you don;'t mind me asking??) I'll check back to watch your six. :) Remain sharp always, Nein!

Thank you for this excellent tutorial. I never had any training with knives. I also never thought that I would be the kind of person who carries a knife but for very good reasons I have a knife on me or near me perpetually. I now know that I was holding the knife wrong. I only knew boxing stance and footwork so I was mistakenly wielding the knife with a left foot forward stance. I've been breaking a good sweat in the mornings practicing my slash, stab combinations and rapid deployment. Much respect sir.

It's realy interesting how much this style of knife-fighting is similar to saber fencing. I'm training fencing since many years and despite the longer range of saber and difference in stabs the rules for slashes, position and footwork ar exactly the same. Realy must try how this two styles can be combined or used interchangeably. Fantastic!

I train in Israeli krav maga and I'm trying to increase my skillset. My daughter, however, trains in martial arts and her baton form is basically the same as his pyramid. 1-8 slashes and the stab to the center is 9. Solid martial concepts regardless of weapon system.

what you're refering to is called biomechanical cutting. it is targeting the musles/tendons/nerves/bloodvessels to reduce the effectiveness of the opponents combat ability. cut the tendons in the wrist and he cant hold a weapon with that hand anymore. cut him six times and blood loss will eventually get to him. it doesnt have to be the muscles. cut the hand and an amatuer will have pain inhibiting the grip he might have had normally. obviously if you take out an eye, he wont be able to see..

1. Please invest in training knives, you're cutting very close to this guys face. 2. If the person is wearing protective combat gloves or has a large hand guard, is the hand still a primary target?
@mathew633man
9 жыл бұрын
i think that without disarming the opponent, you will get cut or stabbed even if you managed to win the fight. people don't just die immediately after they are stabbed, but they would continue to resist and stab you too. so i think that the hand should always be the primary target unless you can disable the opponent other way. in other words, the primary goal should be to neutralize the threat, i.e. disarm the opponent by targeting the hand.

There is no knife fight that will be family friendly. A knife fight is as violent and as deadly force encounter as it gets. You probably shouldn't be watching this video if you wouldn't like to discover the reality and aggresion of a knife fight and how to properly learn ways to successfully defend yourself against an armed attacker . Go fucking watch Barney and friends for a more family friendly related topic and be a more "sheep" individual.
