Visiting a painting museum/exhibition had been on my mind for days, I didn't know where to start, so I decided to visit the painting museum in Beşiktaş Dolmabahçe Palace on a spontaneous decision. The paintings, stories and ambiance in the museum were very nice.
The area I was most interested in in the museum was the workshop where Abdülmecid Efendi, who lived in Dolmabahçe Palace, turned one of his rooms into a painting studio. His studio is on the ground floor. His works are exhibited in 2 sections on the upper floor.
One of the things that surprised me was the artistic works in the Ottoman period and the interest in painting. His father, the 32nd Ottoman Sultan Abdülaziz, who was also interested in art and painting, supported his son Abdülmecid Efendi to receive art education.
Also, even if you don't visit the museum, you can enter the garden and spend time there. As you can see in the video, the views are worth going and seeing...
