@@americandude3825 I was just curios. I don't understand how anyone can think that Trump will save us? I get it Biden is bad too but IMHO Trump did not do us any favors. He gave the largest corporate tax break in hisotry and gave out just as big of stimis that Biden did. This has caused the inflation issue we are now dealing with. We need to remember that HItler was elected. I think if Trump got elected and we had an economic crisis, or crash, he would roll out the CBDC and then if someone was to disagree or talk out (freedom of speech) they just shut your money off. Regarless, what comes next is a liquidity, collateral, and credit crisis. Not Trump, nor Biden will be able to save us from what comes next. The next president that is sitting will be the dude sitting while we are going through a depression. So in my humble option the winner is actually going to be the loser. As someone who has also defended the contintuion for 30 years and was also an Officer, I don't remember ever reading that the constitution only applied to white, rich Americans. It does not say... transgenders or gays or any religous orgainziation DOES NOT get these rights. I think we should not care what people do that is up to them and their god, as long as they are not hurting anyone. We need to be very careful, right here right now. Our rights could be erroded very fast. I mean Trump, when he said the election was stolen from him has already done great damage to our country. From now on going forward people will debate if the election was fair or not... both sides. This is super scary as this is the foundation on what our democracy is founded. So I find super hard to understand how folks that are educated have no idea what is really at stake. What they mean to say. Is we are bias and racist and we don't want white america to die. There are much bigger things at risk right here right now. I fear we have already crossed the rubricon and regarless of who wins next there are going to be riots. Trump caused that. No one else. Now as far as him being a good at buisness. Nope. He is not. His dad was. I trade markets daily. I follow economic and buisness. I have studied Trump. He is a fraud. Most of his buisnesses are frauds. He doesn't pay folks back... etc. He is not some buisness miracle man. Now regarding all his illegal issues. I mean 1 or 2 issues I would say yes maybe someone is going after him ... but 59? No there is something there. Speaking of being a good role model. Do you teach your kids that it is okay to call people names and degrade people? And you and I both know that if either one of us were to have a closet full of classified documents (I hold a clearance and assume you being an officer do too) we would be in jail very quickly. Those documents do not, nor did they, ever belong to him. They belong to the American people and him having them not in an authorized security container most likely put people's lives in danger, at a minimum it put national secrets in harms way. This is the dude you are cheering for? I just don't understand it. I don't like Biden at all but damn man at least he doesn't think he can just do whatever the hell he wants to no regard for the rules. In order for democracy to work the rules apply to all of us, a good leader understands this. Do you show up to lead your troops or sailors showing up late everyday and then get mad at them for being late. Come on man this is not how its done. Don't give into the hate. There are much better ways to live and as I always say, if your not part of the solution you are part of the problem. Which is why I wrote you this long ass explanation of how I feel... not that you probably care but there is always hope. Hell we might get lucky and both Trump and Biden, because they are so old, and Trump espeically cuz he loves fast food, dies of natural causes before the election.

My specialty in the military was working on Jet Engines but to be more precise the electronics that control those engines. Last thing I will say, I think you will get your wish and Trump will be president. But really the winner of this next election is the loser. Why? Because whoever is in office will be sitting while we are going through a nasty recession and a depression. Trump is rich he is going to make it worse for anyone who is not rich. Period. So if you are not rich IMHO have no reason, none, to vote for him. He will just burn everything to the ground faster. Which is okay by me... I am wickedly and I do mean wickedly short the stock market. I think america is so lost that I am counting on him to get back in. What do you think Trump is gonna do for the car market. Go in and bail them out like we did during the GFC. We still haven't paid for the GFC. Which means our taxes are gonna go up. I am counting on him bailing everyone out when we go into a recession. That is going to cause hyperifnation or to be more exact stagflation and everyone who is not prepared is going to lose all their stuff. I am going to buy it up at half price. Cars are just one of the things. Trump nor Biden cand save us... No one can save us from what comes next. Just got my insurance notice, 50% increase 2 500.00 a year on 20 year old car no tickets no accidents. My landlord just increased my lot rent 200 a month. Gas went up again 5.50 a gallon here.

Defining the middleand upper classes in my opinion has NOTHING to do with income. It has EVERYTHING to do with MEDIAN net worth. There are a lot of upper income people who are basically broke as far as net worth is concerned.

What you meant to say is wage growth has not kept up with infaltion and the decling purchasing power of the dollar. Agree that folks buy crap they don't really need (stretched too thin) on credit and that will prove to be very bad going forward.

It also has to do with greed in the car market on the part of the manufacturers and dealers. For a Japanese mid size car I need AT LEAST a 20% discount off MSRP before I would consider buying. In late December 2011 I got 23% off MSRP when I bought my new Japanese mid size car.

Hoping the manufacturers adapt since dealers will not/ cannot discount their profits margins. Solution seems make cars with fewer frills that provide reliable transport. A $15,000 vehicle perhaps. Make up the loss in volume. BTW I watch your blogs from time to time from New Hampshire where I retired with 2 paid-for vehicles in the garage.

The cool thing is, when people can't pay their car payments and their vehicle is repossessed, that same vehicle is re sold at the same debt creating, high payment and high interest rate which again gets repossessed from a different person. Whatever happened to restrictions limiting predatory lending? It's perfectly legal to sign on the dotted line, overextend yourself financially and fault on loans given by home grown companies. Yet it's not allowed by our government for me to buy other cheaper vehicles made in other countries(Jimny, Hiace/Proace, the 2 seater Stout flat bed truck...) that would eliminate this entire problem. God bless America. A country that won't allow us to buy the vehicles we could actually afford and limits our choices to overpriced vehicles beyond our means that don't last.
@TechJedi29

Wages aren't even close to keeping up with inflation. You need to be making at least 100,000$ to even consider owning a home or getting one of these overpriced vehicles. MSRPS need to come down or most of these vehicles are going to rot. Rates are not coming down in 2024 until unemployment goes up. Consumers tend to KEEP spending when they need to stop spending to put pressure to make prices come down. Rates should be closer to 10% they are just trying to keep propping up the economy when they need to let it crash. We are STILL feeling the aftermath of covid policies.
