The mass shootings, the attacks on Asian Americans, the police abuse of people of color, the attacks on Jewish Americans, so many things I truly hoped we had managed to realize we needed to change in the 80's and then we went BACKWARDS!!! What happened to us? I truly don't understand it anymore. Here's hoping decency can once again become fashionable and cool! Respect for each other and ALL our beliefs the norm! Choice for each of us in regards to reproductive decisions, NOT to be determined by the government or any group of people except ourselves!!! Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if this state flips blue. I am a contractor for a local company, and all my coworkers are blue collar, beer drinking, dirty-fingernail type folks. On the job site yesterday I caught Glen staring off toward the horizon with a serene smile on his face. I put down my shovel and walked over to ol' Gearhead Glen to see what was up. He turned toward me and put his hand on my shoulder and said "y'know... I've been workin' hard to build America since I was young enough to buy my first pack of marbs". There was a glint in his eye, like the spark of hope that could ignite a nation. "Seeing good folk in this great state coming together for the first time in 8 years is something I ain't did no never done see." I heard the clanks of others dropping their equipment and turned to see the old timers, "Sparkplug" Steve, "Drillbit" Dale, and "Hemi" Hank standing with arms folded, intently listening to Glen. Glen continued "Y'know, I think this year I'm fixin' to toss Ol' "Hardhat" Harris a vote. Her policies on environmental sustainability, protecting our NATO allies, standing up to Putin, and not to mention, preserving our Democracy are more important than anything else on the list." The clouds parted and painted the sky in a hopeful cerulean blue. I heard some hootin' and hollerin' from a few good ol' boys up on the scaffolding, and even "Pickaxe" Peter, who's normally as stoic as they come, started doing little playful spins in the forklift. We all ended up at McShlucks after clocking in a hard day and shared a cold Shiner while discussing Kamalas grassroots campaign, her electability, and policies. It seems to me the tides a turnin' out here down south.

I've been writing forever and ever that Trumpians are afraid of competition, though they claim that that's how entrepreneurism works, and want to retain their privileges NOT because they earned them but simply because they always had them. This is particularly true in the small ponds in which Republicans (after they switched from being Democrats in the 1950's, 60's and 70's) have been the big fish for centuries. Thank you, Maya, for stating this. The incredibly stupid thing is that Trumpians have just as good a chance of winning if they compete as anyone else. Competing doesn't mean being complacent and assuming you're going to win, as Trump was in 2020. It doesn't mean assuming you know everything you need to know while the rest of the world keeps updating its knowledge, as Trump does. It means working hard, something Trump knows nothing about unless you consider scheming to be hard work. For someone like Trump, that is the easiest thing in the world, which is why he always falls back on it. He has no other skills with which to compete.

Maya Wiley is awesome, I could feel the struggles she has experienced in her career, I am an older white woman born at the start of generation X, I grew up in a mixed community and never attended a segregated school but as an adult working in business, I saw first hand the racism and prejudice that went on, even lost a job because I spoke up about it, there was a reason why affirmative action existed and after Trump was elected in 2016, I saw how bad that undercurrent still is, I know that there are more of us that want a level playing field than those opposed, we just need to get ourselves out to vote and help anyone else we can to do the same. Vote 💙💙

She's definitely the right choice because she's a uniter and for ALL the people, not just a few. She believes in freedom/equality. She's intelligent, fearless, well spoken and strong. She has a Baptist background and has great morals. I absolutely agree with her policies which can be found online. She has legal/ political experience and knowledge. She is the first female vice president and the highest-ranking female official in U.S. history. Harris served as the junior U.S. senator of California. She was elected attorney general in the same state. A successful attorney. Also wants to make marijuana legal in all states.
