This channel with Mick & Trudie 🥰were very influential in our decision to start holidaying in Turkey for the 1st time last year, and just returning from our 3rd holiday over there I can honestly say we have grown to love the people & food beyond words😘, and kicking ourselves we wasted so much time/money on easy lazy holidays to Spain for decades🥺. The special treatment we were given just by learning some Turkish phrases, as advised on this channel, not only gave us some wonderful days out they also saved us a bundle of money with local people/staff at the hotel helping us get better deals on excursions. We are already booking for next year 👍....

Well done ! Next month we are returning to Olu Deniz (just outside) for the fourth time. We too love the Turks, the food the general hospitality . We were even guests at the home of a hotel waitress last year , met her parents, dined together , got shown around their small farm and became firm friends. I think that the ordinary working Turk is having a pretty tough time now, and hopefully they will put a stop to a lot of us foreigners buying property there and driving up prices.

I've just booked the new sundia lhotel purely on micks recommendation, I'm sure I won't be disappointed. We've been to so many places in the world , but not Turkey. So watch this space, I love mick and trudie videos so much, they inspired me to visit calis beach

It was with your encouragement that I spent 2 weeks in Izmir last May. I enjoyed it so much even though I was still feeling poorly from a virus I contracted in Gozo Malta. The general public was so kind. I never had to stand in the trolly or bus. Men offered me their arm to help with steps. The food is wholesome and satisfying. They fed my soul.

Eda at Turkish Airlines in Luqa airport Malta opened her office and called staff in on their day off. She set me up all expenses paid in the 5 star Corinthia Hotel. She was a saint. I was a mess.

@@mickandtrudie They are certainly worth it.! We often see a larger bird , about the size of a pigeon , no idea what that is either. It is different shades of brown .We are coming over to Turkiye next month , so maybe I can find someone to identify it for us.

@@mickandtrudie After extensive research with my friend Google.. I think the bird may be a collared dove. Maybe I see them more brown than grey is because of the sunglasses! Or the fact that I am 143 years old and my peepers aren’t what they see to be!

After watching your nice little video, I'm quite sure, that we heard the chirping of this tiny fellow every time we drove along the long tree-lined street, that leads from the main road "D400" to the Club Tuana in Yanıklar. This shady street with its beautiful trees proceeds directly beside a shallow creek, that comes from the mountain and ends at the shores of the mediterranean sea. For many consecutive summers (mostly twice a year) we knew, that we have reached our (so called) second home "Tuana", when we heard this bird chirping in the trees. Great memories. We haven't been there since 2019 due to Corona and other health issues, which makes us quite sad. But we hope, we could return some day to hear cetti again! Teşekkür ederim Mick Amca for showing us this bird in the video and for telling us its name. By the way, in german language it is called "Seidensänger", which means "silk-singer". All the best for you and Trudie and keep up the good work. Greetings from Hamburg / Germany Roland.

We watched nearly all your videos in Australia and fell in love with Fethiye and made the big move and settled in Turkiye, however what we watched wasn't really the case when we got there. We couldn't find any villas in Fethiye and even looked at Seydikemer, which is 35 mins from Fethiye. The villas in Seydikemer was over 6milyon let alone in Fethiye. You can't even buy land for less than that there. And now Fethiye is just full of Russians

It’s 10 1/2 hours by car 12 hours on the bus no trains go there it’s too mountainous. We have lots of fresh fish because it’s surrounded by sea. The weather is very hot in the middle of the summer airbnb’s are not cheaper than Istanbul there about the same price
