[Recorded 16/10/23] In 2019 this lift was closed off from public service due to that section of the building becoming fully utilised for their Conference Centre. However due to works in Station Hall and the construction work to change the access between Great Hall and Station Hall, this entrance is the only one able to be used at the moment so the lift is back open to the public! This is a very interesting keypad-operated ThyssenKrupp where the button faces for all except 0, 1 and the bottom row have been removed and a metal panel placed over where they would have been. It runs pretty well and everything bar the voice sitll seems to work well. Right at the end of the video you'll see a keyswitch that I have no idea what its for lol. This lift is maintained by a company called Exel who I've never heard of, and it seems they've managed to mistakenly alter the language setting on the keypad without realising and didn't notice at any point since to change it back! So now this lift is in french all the time, showing étage 1 for first floor and an abbreviated form of rez-de-chaussée for ground floor!

Additionally, please don't cut up sounds from my videos to use in any form of simulated lift or the like. It's easy to go out and record a sound the way you want it rather than taking someone else's, and it'll be more satisfying for everything about a creation to be entirely yours. So yeah, recording your own is better.
