About the cutting mat - give it a bath. Seriously! It needs to be soaked with a bit of white vinegar every once in a while to re heal. After the soak, put it between your mattress and your bed overnight and it’ll be as flat as new!

I found that heating the mat with a blow dryer, reshape and then place something heavy to keep it straight/flat worked for me.

For bobbins I use the nail painting toe separator ..idk what it's called but it separated and keeps the thread on the bobbin

I love the peg board. Great room. I was told to put the cutting mats in the bath tub in hot water for a soak then lay them flat to dry. I haven't tried this as yet.

Just an idea - I use this on keys and eyeglasses and tools. Use nail polish to mark for example purple for fabric scissors and blue for paper, etc.

Love your sewing room and the diy videos. I just found out that some fabric stores use linoleum for their cutting tables. Also thought that maybe you could get a paper roller at the end of your cutting table for your pattern paper. Just a thought :)

As a new dress maker who has had some good results I have watched most of your u tubes mainly in my breaks at work ..it would be great to see some recent fabric Fridays ..and some up to date sew a longs ..I know ..demanding ..but it would be great 👍..I travelling a lot also.. pre covid so your fabric Fridays from abroad were great ..especially the far east...but there again..the ones you mentioned in London are down in my diary already .can not wait to visit them .thanks ...Dawn x

You need brackets that have that support under it instead of straight brackets. They can hold more weight.

You could use Linoleum on top of your cutting table for a durable finish, saw the tip on another channel a day or two ago, sorry, can't remember which one. The said a particular high end brand of manufacturer uses lino on the tops of their tables :-)
