That was well said. hopefully New Holland is listening and takes it to heart. They need to do better.... much better or take a chance on loosing more customers permanently. good luck with your repaired machine, I would hope it becomes the most reliable machine you've ever owned or go GREEN!

16.5 L is what is mounted stock in their advertising. If you have a bad handling it's not because of that. They just try to smoke you i think, eluding the real problems. The rear end camber you have compared to the machine in the ad is way different. You have nearly no negative camber. So the rear is less stable higher and will not steer the same way it should, being less precise . Camber is really important on this kind of set up.

These designers are constantly re-engineering their machines. But not necessarily to make it better for the end user. Mostly, they tinker around and re-design just to make their product more efficiently with less cost to manufacture. If they would leave well enough alone and stick to time-tested designs, they could save a lot of headaches .

Just to cover your own rear, take an oil sample and send it through a lab. Nothing wrong with verifying the system is thoroughly cleaned out. Messick's should be doing this themselves to verify their repair, but in my experience, ag dealers haven't gotten that sophisticated yet. If I were your local Deere dealer, there would already be a demo mower in your yard, I doubt your local dealer is dumb, maybe they haven't been watching your videos. Next time your in there, let your saleman know about this channel - I'd bet they'll be very happy to help you out.

Only goes through the filter when it comes out of the tank . . . well maybe . . . Only goes through the cooler when it comes out of the tank makes absolutely no sense to me. You have to cool the oil that is in use, not the stuff that is coming out of the tank to replenish. . . . something doesn't sound right there, or maybe I heard it wrong . . .

I think you'll see a big difference in the ride quality when you go back to the smaller tires it should bring the ass end down just enough to improve it also you can adjust the bags to get it where you want it. That being said they are just such awkward machines so much weight out front with that header hanging out there and nothing hanging off the back these machines will never feel good going down the road no matter what they try

All bullshitting aside Wes, I watched your vid again. Sounds like your to light in the rear end of that swather that is causing the bouncing. Then again, even if you added weight, you would then have to add more air into the bags to level out your axle. That may tend to give the same bounce again. At any rate, If it continues to be a bouncer down the road. As mere friendly advice, I'd consider putting weight on that rear end to keep it from being so squirley. Your dime your time, just putting it out there as a thought. Thanks for the vids. I enjoy watching them.

As much as i love John Deere there mowers are not that great we had a r450 which there was not a single day were it was not able to mow. But we now have a case wdx2303 and the header lays the out much better. You have to just look at the header difference and see which one you like.

They should let you keep your old Case for a couple weeks to make up for the aggravation and time you lost while this unit was down..Also just in case it breaks down again. Then you can put both machines to work. With two of those cutting you can really put some hay on the ground. Just a thought.

Im with you on buyinga john deere if the new holland fails again. We bought a john deere 844J wheel loader in 08, tgis last year we found out that it was one of deeres first wheel loader 844J series to be producd, it gave us so many problems that we just decided, well. Got soo made that john deere was dragging there feet about fixing our 844 J, isthat we told them to bring us out a 2013 deere 844K, it works flawless. What im saying is that your speedrower 240. Might be one of those mowers that were the first ones biult. Ask messics if they have any of the same mowers with upgrades or things like that, and if they dont, then id say its ttime for a john deere mower.

once you have a bad taste in your mouth with so many things gone wrong, it's really hard to like and trust something no matter if it's fixed or not. Every little thing that goes wrong with that machine will burn your gut. The dealer is stuck in a bad situation too because of the design and flaws of the machine. Manufacturers are not very willing to bite the bullet and replace it. The dealer has to do what the manufacturer wants done or the dealer doesn't get reimbursed for warranty. Personally, I don't think you'll ever like that machine from here on out. I feel your pain!

I noticed the airbags on the front. Are the airlines for them connected together with a T fitting- or do they have their own valves? If the air lines terminate into a T fitting- air can travel from one bag to the other. This would cause any change in weight to be exaggerated because as one bag compresses- the other fills. (This can be a bad thing- Imagine taking a corner with your weight shifted towards the outside of the turn. The outside airbag will transfer pressure into the inside airbag making the vehicle lean further towards the outside of the turn.) Just a thought. Might explain a swaying sensation or the feeling like each hill/bump you go over is 2x bigger than it should feel.

Wes when you were under the machine talking about "dials" That is a solenoid valve and there is no "setting" all the knobs do is hold the solenoid on to the valve body. .02 volts sounds fishy to me. Should be at least 12 vdc.

Can the ride height in the rear be adjusted, it seems most other machines I've seen in the advertising movies has a lower setting on the airbags giving them more negative camber than yours? When going down the road, have you had a look at the rear wheels if the shimmy around or stay stable?

wes, first let me say, I really enjoy your vids.I cant wait each day to see what else your doing on the farm. its always very helpful and informative to those of us that fix our own stuff (or used to) but can no longer do so, but continue to try when health allows. I also very much enjoy and applaud you for your rants and ability to do them directly and to the point. We the consumer are taken advantage of by so many companies it seems promising one thing and delivering something else. some of these things adding up into thousands or possibly hundreds of thousands of hard earned dollars or even just a few dollars. Someone in an earlier post said that they thought you ought to run for president,I agree. But i also think the job as president is a no win proposition as far as getting anything accomplished(too many people butting heads with no worthwhile outcome). But if you would become a consumer advocate(i believe thats the right title)for the consumer like (ralph nader did in the 60s-70s) and check out these so called improved products for the people and report on them as to, are they any good or just cheaper junk that is trying to be passed off as improved products. You probably wouldnt have the job. but i truely believe that you would make the -best-factual-outspoken-truthful-for the good of the consumer person to do such an important job like that. all of this comment started over cheap crap duck tape that used to be a good product but it seems like everything else quality is a thing of the past.well, quality needs to be brought back now. weather its high dollar equipment, overpriced autos or inferior duck tape the companies that make these products need someone to hold them to a higher standard. Wes Pandy you could do the job! Because you tell it like it is.

Hi, Way back Wes posted about selling hay to the people across the road for horses. It didn't seem to me like he was particularly fond of selling hay to horse people because of whining about hay quality and ,if I remember correctly, non-payment. I wish it were different in Indiana, where I make and sell hay.
