Good video. I’m in North Carolina piedmont area and with this cold weather I’ve been concerned about the cuttings trying to root in my greenhouse. Luckily my sensor push says it stayed right above freezing inside greenhouse. Hopefully they are strong enough and make it. Thanks for sharing.

I was given a free fig tree this summer so this is my first year overwintering one. I allowed it to go into dormancy and I brought it inside when we were going to hit into the teens. Here in eastern Washington we get down into the negative teens during December-February so even keeping it in my greenhouse isn’t an option. I’m concerned about having to keep it in our home since it will be warm…but I don’t know what else to do! I’ll definitely follow along with your fig journey for tips.

That's a tough environment for a fig. I think bringing it inside was the safe thing to do. If you only have one tree and it's not too big, it might be manageable to take it out during the day and bring it inside only when it gets below about 15F.

Yeah, that's super cold for figs. Are you growing any up there in Montreal? If so, how do you go about protecting them in the winter?
