Delighted to see you both home safely and your windows are intact! Also that your fridge works. And that you have outsmarted di mouses! The fruit tree you're not sure sure how to pronounce name of is Feijoia, pronounced fay-zho-a. It is similar to a guava but more delicious, IMO. It makes wonderful gelatoicecream if you desire such treats in winter!. The sea of waving grasses and wild flowers look wonderful. I think your lemon tree needs some trace elements: the leaves are still splotchy yellow. Thank you for your gargantuan effort creating so many inspiring videos when you are very busy and weary. 🦋🐞

Thanks for the pronunciation, I'll probably butcher it again in the next video, but I'll try to remember 😂 And we think you're right, we definitely have to give the lemon tree some trace elements, thank you so much for the tip and your kind words♥

love your style of vlogging, it's so infectious :)) your wild purple flowers look amazing! so pretty, so many varieties too, hope they keep coming up for you now the land isn't slashed & ploughed as another commenter has suggested you could do some pathways to all your trees so you're not walking through long grasses, Warner loves the scythe & it's much gentler on the fauna than a strimmer or mower; council laws here forbid overgrowth of any sort because of bush fires (qld Australia) so we have to keep our paddocks short thanx for sharing

Your beautiful purple flowers are centaurea, and then Devil's - bit scabious. Your maple has powdery mildew because of your hot and humid climate. Water and baking soda spray is somewhat effective. The fungus normally doesn't kill the tree.

24:39 in my region, many people recommend adding a little bit of formate alcohol mixed with water to essential oils (which ticks don't like). It supposedly works wonders and formate alcohol costs pennies in the chemist's.

21:36 In the case of hydrangeas that bloom on current year's shoots, such as garden hydrangeas (Hydrangea macrophylla), you should cut all the shoots halfway down, leaving only 2-3 buds on each shoot. This way, the plant will produce new shoots on which the flowers will appear. Maybe it's worth checking what varieties you have? 🌺🏵️💮🌸
@WaleandMe
Ай бұрын
Ah cool, thanks for the tip. Do we cut them now though, or better in autumn? We're completely new to hydrangeas!

I’m sure there’s a very good reason, but why not put the fridge on top of the freezer? Wow, the Hydrangeas are gorgeous!!! I live in the desert, so I can’t really grow them here, but they’re one of my favorites. Cookie and Lucky are so happy to have you back 🥰

We'll put a bench top on top of the fridge and the freezer so it's easier to take stuff out and put stuff back in. Wish we could send you some hydrangeas, we have so many, although we know how wrong that could go with customs 😉

Maybe you need to start so.e exercises to a lot build up your muscles? As Vegans, are you sure you have enough proteins? I mean not proteins that are in the veggies, nuts Tec, but that are actually usable for your body?

The increased biodiversity might be the reason why you are finding less ticks. You are providing more habitats for tick predators (spiders, birds, toads, ....).
@WaleandMe
Ай бұрын
Ohh that would be amazing! I did ask neighbours if they had less ticks this year and they said no, but then my assumption was that perhaps we had less because we don’t have cows here. This theory makes more sense ☺️♥️
