I remember years ago, standing in a parts/feed store with my fellow dairy farmers when a hog farmer walks in the door. I never minded the smell of cows, but whooo-weee, no thank you for the aroma of swine. Something you never forget lol Happy Thanksgiving to all the Larson's, their extended family of coworkers, and all their viewers here! Thank you!

Thanks for another great video Chet. It was interesting. Lots of clean up after harvest and tillage. Appreciate the great care you all give your equipment. Especially getting all that dried up mud off of the equipment. Nice to get the combines hidden spots blown out to prevent buildup of corn and beans that encourage the mice to chew on wires and such. My compliments to you all for getting equipment as clean as you all do. Am hearing that your deer season is going good except the deer are small this year. Hang in there all of you. Good teamwork effort cleaning equipment up. My compliments to all of you. About it I guess. You take care and be safe. Thanks for everything Chet and crew. The Iowa Farm Boy. Steve.

Chet, I always learn things on your channel. You do a finaminal jib on your explaining of things. Other farmers I would think appreciate that. Chris and Jordan have been an added asset helping out this season. I hope they will return again once all the fall projects are done. Jordan has a cool lighting in and outside his truck. Thought Brody was going to start crying. Eric is always very informative too. Brody is not much on his own for taking a camera, but he sure does add to videos in front of the camera. He takes pride in his spraying dirt and mud and corn and beans off things than he does exquisite washing of your guys equipment. Than there's your Dad, Dougo who has a theory, than his spin on that theory. Starting to see. A lot more of Randy too that's Good to see.

When using that compressor make sure you get some whip checks and always use them, use pins or even wire through the hose connections where it connects to the compressor ,or when joining hoses. Use them on the tool end as well, blow tool or jack hammer etc..Stay safe . Happy Thanksgiving !!!

Got a question regarding "hours" on the tractor. Does that include the extended amount of time you leave them to idol? As the cost of fuel increases, I would have thought that turning the engines off would be a significant cost saving for the fiscal year.
@realredditstories420
10 ай бұрын
Engine hours include idling and running, anytime the engine is running. Idling doesn’t really waste a ton of fuel unless you did it for multiple hours, but they still probably try not to idle as much as possible

Do tracks on a combine really pull harder? I thought the smaller drive wheel ( relative to wheeled machine) would reduce the power requirements by reducing the travel speed??? similar to a smaller pulley being easier to run ( via the shaft) than a larger pulley.
@realredditstories420
10 ай бұрын
Tracks get more debris and mud in them which builds up friction, wears it downs and pulls hard. Smaller pulley would be easier to run, unless you added friction to the shaft via mud
