My rendition of The Animals' "It's My Life"...another oldie-but-a-goodie I've always enjoyed (supremely catchy), and the second installment of my 'Animals 3-peat' I've planned. And also another video I've decided to utilize the split-screen technique in order to do that unison-octave thingy, I always thought that was a cool element of the song...I did the higher-pitched notes first (and on the main big screen), and then layered the lower-pitched notes over that (on the smaller screen)...the studio version fades out at the end, but I just extended it slightly and ended it the same as the chorus. Funny enough, this was yet another example of a song "so easy it's tough" (if that makes any sense? hahaha), as in it's easy in principle, yet it was surprisingly tough to get takes I was fully satisfied with, and not because of the unison stuff, it was more about just not being clumsy - I was screwing up on all the dumbest stuff possible time and again as a result of getting complacent, underestimating it, and missing notes or not hitting them the way I wanted...but I eeeeventually got them both the way I wanted hahaha. Also, pardon me being a bit more stiff/statue-like than usual, I was using a delay effect to help keep my tempo and timing at least semi-consistent, and it was quite a sensitive tone because of it, like if you even so much as LOOKED at a string wrong: "BOOP!" (or 'beep', 'ding', 'donk', or whatever other random unwanted noise would sound), so I had to be extra careful hahaha. Anyway, enjoy as always and thanks for watching!
