No, it literally has to be even easier than a mirror cube. It's definitely easier to figure out the orientation and permutation of 8 pieces than it does 27, unless you can point out why 8 different 3 sided pieces are harder than "27 pieces" of a 3x3 😂

I for a while could solve a 3x3 and not a 2x2… But now, I understand that a 2x2 has the same algorithms, - the ones for edges. And with that, I easily gained the score that placed me within the top 5% of 2x2 speed solving, completing it in 14 seconds! Well, it was on a finicky mobile app, so I could’ve probably solved it in 10 seconds, but yeah. Anyway, my 3x3 speed is 90 seconds, just beginner algorithms! I should try to learn advanced ones, but considering it took a couple years to memorize beginner, it will probably take a while. Then again, I wasn’t consistent back then. With Rubik’s Connected, it generates a random pattern to make sure you haven’t already examined it, has you scramble it, then gives you 10 seconds to analyze. After that, you’re on your own, final time is determined by when you turn the last piece to normal. It has instant connection, and 2 month battery! It’s amazing, I’d recommend it to any other viewers if you need help learning a real time beginners guide instead of an examine it yourself one, or select silver to be shown an advanced one. It’s not always accurate though, because if you move L, R’, U’, it says to reverse it. If you move L, R’, U, it gives you a fully different algorithm which is kinda hilarious. (To those who don’t know, U is clockwise, U’ is counter clockwise.) Of corse, pros use this app too. The tournaments show cubers with 4 second scores, just like the live event ones. The stats shown in Rubik’s Connected are made on the app, and the cube is designed to speed cube! Just… Don’t twist the corner. If you try to calibrate it, it says corner is twisted, and you’re on your own in solving the base before correcting the corner. Twisting a corner or mirroring an edge by taking apart puts a cube in an indefinite parity, until you untwist or undo the mirrored edge.

The most difficult cube to solve is generally considered to be the 4x4x4 cube. It is much harder to solve than the standard 3x3x3 cube, since it has more parts and requires more algorithms to solve.
