Trapping checks are like a box of chocolates.. never know what you’re going to get! 🪤 People always find it fascinating rubbing snow on wet surfaces (especially hair) actually dries them. Some great tips & tricks. Thank you for sharing this great sport with someone. Hopefully he continues to trap & teaches others how in the future!

When I was a teenager in the central TX hill country we used to have a good trap line on a friend's ranch just east of Lake Buchanan. Had a lot of fun and made some good money. I am 55 now and have 2 teenage boys that haven't experienced any of that. That's going to change. This spring we are moving to our property east of Missoula. My boys are excited and already buying traps. We enjoy all your video's. Thanks

Brings back memories when I was a young man. I used to catch a couple hundred rats a year. I used to check my traps twice a day. Once before school and once after school. Very fond memories I must admit. My grandpa taught me when I was 12. I am 65 and I still miss it. Apples used to work better than carrots.

Randy Newberg I watch your KZitem videos and your Amazon Prime videos and I gain so much knowledge from them. I have watched them multiple times and I myself am planning a diy Hunting trip to Montana in the near future. I am thinking about hunting either Antelope or Mule Deer to start with. Then after a few trips I’ll try my hand at Elk Hunting. Also keep bringing new stuff like trapping and goose hunting to your audience. God Bless and continue to be safe out there Randy and crew.

Fond memories of the sight and smell of hundreds of rats covering the basement floor. Dad would set and check his traps for 2 or 3 days in one of many Michigan Upper Peninsula marshes and would then pull the sets to "leave some for seed". He estimated he could catch 80% of the rats in 2 or 3 days and then he moved on. He made 3 wooden muskrat trapping boats he kept stashed at his favorite muskrat marshes... Dad could skin and stretch 6 rats before I could muddle my way through 1. Hoping you show how to properly skin and prep a pelt for sale, as catching is only half of the skillset of a succesful trapper :-). Thanks for another great video!
