53:20 It behaves as a harmonic oscillator at small angles. I think this is a key thing we should keep track of especially for structural engineering students. EVERYTHING we do for structural dynamics hinges on this idea including modes of vibration. If you start trying to get solutions to the differential eom of the structure assuming nonharmonic, it just won’t make any sense. This is assuming we are designing the structure. It would be different if we had a study, for example, of the motion of a structure undergoing resonant frequency response.
