it feels so blissful and calming to hear you talk about such emotions and acknowledging that other ppl experience them too... sometimes it seems to me that i am the only lonely one, not completely alone, yet with no particular group of friends to really belong to. it gets heavy at times. thank you for this video, i hope you have an amazing day and the upcoming week!

Hi fellow internet stranger. I relate to you when you say you feel as if you have no particular group of friends and the feelings get heavy because lonliness really is tough to live with. It hurts to see others supposedly have lots of fun and have great conversations with their groups of close friends when you don't even know where you fit and I really do get that but its also so hard to find nice friend groups :(

Going on solo dates and getting over that fear of being alone or being judged for being by myself was one of the best ways to get over my feeling of loneliness. The moment I realized I enjoy my own company more than I enjoy the company of others was so blissful it is a moment of me time.

I’m 17 years older than you - also lived abroad to do an exchange year when I was 16 and to do my master’s degree when I was 22. Your videos are some sort of “re-escapism” for me, re-living this time of my life. You’re wise and an old soul, I would’ve loved watching you when I was your age! x

I'm doing exactly as u do, every single thing, apart from journaling, and the word is becoming a recluse, or becoming a hermit, hehe and always pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and meeting ppl...omg I'm 44 years single and lonely in Jakarta instead of Paris, or Rome or NY...thses places would make me feel less lonely indeed

This is a topic that needs to be talked about more! I moved to France when I was 7 and have kind of been moving around since then so it can definitely feel isolating sometimes but I like to think of it as a new experience each time I move somewhere new! Each of your videos are amazing and the editing is so good

I experienced nearly same things.. Moved to Paris last year for uni (I am 20 now), it was my first time far away from my country + all alone.🥲 First semester was literally awful… I cried all the time, was feeling so lonely and guilty at the same time because of feeling bad (I felt like not appreciating the things I have and not feeling enough grateful for the opportunities that I have etc.) But eventually, it became easier! I met new people at my uni and found out that the things I feel are quite normal ehhehe. Donc merci pour partager tes expériences avec nous et t’as totalement raison, il faut les normaliser.🥰

Thank you so much for being so sincere and open with your experience with a human feeling that isn't talked about enough. I'm going to university (in France too but I'm French) next year and it feels exciting but I have bursts of anxiety about meeting new people and having to adapt to a new rythm and new people so this is so reassuring I feel like I am listening to a big sister or older friend

lovely video as usual, eloise! as someone who's been rather lonely pretty much their entire life, i'd like to add something to the really helpful tips you've shared. i think it's really important to become your own best friend (by spending time alone with your thoughts, hanging out by yourself like you said, and even talking to yourself when you're by yourself - i know it sounds a bit crazy but it's actually healthy). if you manage to become your own best friend, you'll know there's always going to be someone out there for you to rely on (yourself!) and that can make it easier for you to befriend the right people and to let go of people when needed. p.s.: i love your videos, they always feel like chatting with a friend

I'm British and I moved from the UK to France alone when I was 18 too. I'm now 20. I've gone to the countryside instead of the city, and your French is better than mine, but other than that we have a lot of similarities. (For some reason I've also been to an Erasmus meet up in Paris - despite not being on Erasmus nor in uni ???) Your videos are really interesting. Merci
