In this week’s video we are restoring a Radiata Pine timber floor. We often get told not to bother as Pine is considered a ‘soft wood’ and meant to be a ‘sub-floor’. We disagree and we love restoring this beautiful wood!!
First we sand all the old solvent based polyurethane off which has turned orange with THE BIG MACHINE, emptying the dust bag when it gets full. Punch and fill all the nail holes with putty. Then comes THE EDGER around the outsides of the room. Hand scraping all the corners and hard to reach places. Some more sanding and buffing and we are ready to coat. Using our famous ‘Quicksand Mix’ water based 3 coat system by Berger Seidle 👌🏻
And we are DONE! Beautiful 💪🏻
