🎄 The Chinese government's annual attempt to ban Christmas is a futile and annoying display of nationalism. 00:31 China has once again banned Christmas and then failed The government clamps down on Christmas celebrations, promoting nationalism The ban is a yearly stunt that is ultimately forgotten 🇨🇳 The video discusses the disconnect between societal behavior and the law in China, with a focus on unusual occurrences. 02:52 Christmas in China is primarily a commercial holiday, with businesses promoting deals and encouraging shopping for gifts. There is a disconnect between societal behavior and the law in China, with people often breaking rules and laws without consequences. The video demonstrates an unusual interaction involving the theft of dirt in a building complex in China. 🇨🇳 The Chinese government's unpredictable nature and self-serving behavior are highlighted, along with a Christmas message. 05:50 The Chinese government's hands-off approach can suddenly turn into arrests and jail time for its citizens. The Chinese government promotes xenophobia and nationalism, posing as an enemy to the people of China and the world. A Christmas request is made to help out two individuals, including a friend and business partner, and the father-in-law.

Christmas aside, even we Chinese people's biggest festival, 春节(Lunar New Year), the festive atmosphere is getting weaker and weaker. Setting off fireworks in urban areas is banned (although I can understand it's for safety reasons). When I was a child, 春节 was my happiest day of year, but now with the New Year without firecrackers, I can no longer find the feeling of the past. In addition, in traditional Chinese culture, Lunar New Year's Eve is the family reunion day. On this day, wanderers who are far away will go home and have a reunion dinner with their families. We have attached great importance to this custom for thousands of years. However, there will be no holiday for New Year's Eve of 2024, which has been criticized by lots of people online.

To understand something about Christmas, Christmas literally is a Chinese holiday, it is 冬至 dongzhi, the winter solstice! So why aren’t they on the same day? Because of Julius Cesar’s calendar and pope Gregorio‘s modern calendar. Christmas was defined as the birth of the Greek sun good Mithras and placed on the winter solstice, for religious purposes, they used Mithras and combined it with the story of Jesus. As the reformed calendar was slightly off from the factual solar year, the time was running faster, until pope Gregory made the correction. Christmas was then compared to today’s calendar, celebrated on the 6th of January, as the orthodox, Russians still do. So Gregory took out several days from the calendars, and put Christmas on the 24th of December. So basically introduced another error.

Do you know: In fact, Christmas is not a Christian holiday at all. After the death of the apostles chosen by Jesus, the early Christian congrecations were filled with false teachers who did not consider what Jesus taught important, but they considered it more important to please the sheep of their churches, And all this, e.g. the apostle Paul knew beforehand, as can be seen in his writings. Early Christians did not celebrate Christmas - nor birthdays in general. Jews did not celebrate birthdays, and Jesus did not command to follow such a pagan custom. Jesus, as a Jew by his roots, celebrated the Passover once a year, which was prescribed by law to commemorate the liberation from slavery in Egypt. But on the last Easter, Jesus made a new covenant with his followers and told them to always celebrate his death instead of Easter - because with his death he freed them from the slavery of sin. So Jesus commanded to celebrate the day of his death - not his birthday. and this is also in agreement with all the scriptures of the Bible, such as Solomon who wrote that the day of death is better than the day of birth. And it's better to go to a funeral home than to a holding house. Indeed, everyone can see from secular information sources that Jesus was not born in December, but between October and November. Likewise, anyone can see from secular sources that December 25th is the day of the pagan Roman celebration of Saturnalia. That's why I've never celebrated Christmas in over 50 years. It is not a Christian way, but a pagan way. Christian churches that have abandoned the original teaching and replaced it with a lie - are not teaching their sheep to study the Bible. If people read the Bible, they would quickly see the lies of their religious leaders.

@davidhunternyc1 Eugh, not only was that so corny that I contemplated suicide for a second but I would love to see people like you explain christmas to, for example, the poor/homeless kids who santa, according to you, just felt like skipping, eh? Thats something that rustles my jimmies alot about religion and its traditions: In order to adhere to it, you have to lie. And now? Alot of kids start their life getting lied to by their parents about santa, easter bunny, and much more. And most of these dont even come with a good reason. I still have YET to hear 1 good reason for the easter bunny. So, what does that tell me? In order to follow christianity and its traditions, one has to learn to lie...to ones family nonetheless. And that means quite literally that christianity corrupts through its practice. Neat, who woulda thunk? That the religion, which used to force its ideology onto others, the one thats responsible for crusades and many more crimes against humanity...that this "beautiful" religion corrupts?

While in the USMC, I spent 2 years in Okinawa Japan. I'm not going to claim Japan is perfect, there were still places I was not allowed to go. We were told if there is salt in an urn outside don't try to enter, it will go badly. However, I will say that Japanese people were extremely friendly, especially the younger generation. They were like 25 years behind the times, still loving Elvis when I was there in the 90s. In my opinion, the cutest Japanese tradition is White Day. This has nothing to do with race, don't get it twisted. It is a tradition in Japanese society where women let men know they are interested and appreciate the attention they got on Valentines' Day. A man will give a woman Western traditional chocolates, flowers, cards, whatever, on 2/14, then one month later, when the guy has been waiting on pins and needles, if the gal appreciated it, she will return the gifts with flowers, white chocolate, etc. I thought that was really cute, and an equalizer when I was stationed there. In the West, one can wonder for a long time if your love interest even cares, but in Japan, White Day is like a balancing force between the sexes, if she likes you, she will let you know. It's really sweet, and practical. No love on White Day? Bro, she didn't like your advances, move on. Gifts on White Day? My guy, congrats, you are in a relationship now.

In Czech Rep., I was always proud we have affordable medical services, we used to point finger at US as the example of bad medical system. Now it seems we are also trying to "Americanize" our country and turn everything what was better than there into same sh*t.

Not many people have the guts or the care to call out fellow countrymen on their misbehaving. I wonder how she felt to be told how to behave like a civilized human by a foreigner that perfectly speaks her language (it was clear she won't stop doing this stuff in the future, so much for that camera point system)

In the mall near my apartment in China you can find many Christmas trees. China has a population of 1.4 billion, so if you find some examples of extremism don’t apply that to whole China.
