Last September alone, Gore’s home in the toney Belle Meade section of Music City consumed 30,993 kWh, as much energy as a typical American family uses in 34 months.

@@carl1367 Blowhard really screwed up the next election cycle for the Republican party by stuffing SCOTUS with all those Roman Catholics. The pro-birth politicians are only popular in the HillBilly states and the Republicans always win the confederate states anyway. Now the Democrats will pick up votes in every close race in the rest of the country. Some Republicans will lose close races they would have won otherwise. And Clarence Thomas announcing they were going to try and nullify gay marriages now will make the problem 10 times worse. The LGB+ community will turn out in huge numbers just to vote against Republicans at EVERY level of government now. And gay marriage is not an issue most heterosexuals are against. So what does the GOP gain from this ? I also don't understand the timing of all this. Polling already indicates the Republicans are not going to be sweeping the federal elections as it looked like they would be a couple of months ago. Why did the Republicans in this court decide now was the time to announce they were going to undo so many SCOTUS decisions that had gone before them ?? This makes no sense to me. WRZ 2022-07-26

The climate emergency is real and very scary. Really, where do we go from here if things are already this bad? To even ponder that question is like seeking out sadness

It is too late. We are not willing to do what it takes to stop this disaster in real time, like we should’ve several decades ago.

Brave Sir Hawley ran away. Bravely ran away away. When danger reared it's ugly head, He bravely turned his tail and fled. Yes, brave Sir Hawley turned about And gallantly he chickened out. Swiftly taking to his feet, He beat a very brave retreat. Bravest of the brave, Sir Hawley!

In reality it’s kind of amazing that we’ve had such a globalized and international system for so long without many severe plagues. Planes literally travel to every corner of the world each day exchanging people and possible diseases across continents and oceans.

Funny how planes fly to every corner of the world every day and yet tens of millions of people are starving, lack fresh water, sanitary sewers and safe shelter at a time when the world has never seen the riches it currently has and can afford to feed everyone.
