Entrelace is a Vaganova term which not everyone will know unless they or their teacher have studied Vaganova! Amber is so arrogant - that little face squish and eye roll when Eva said she she knows it as tour jete ...urgh! She's actually beginning to grind my nerves tbh but I enjoy other content so don't want to unsubscribe 😕

This was the move (and gargouillade) that I couldn't quite understand until I graduated because my ballet mistress couldn't break it down for us. Luckily I could cheat it by looking at the old soviet tapes. It never made sense until I saw the thumbnail of this short. Amber has one of the best and cleanest technique. Now I can do it, albeit like a long-retired old person can. Thank you Amber. All the best.

I know it as a tour jete. So you should not travel horizontally as you elevate your body into the air. Just go up and down in a straight line. Stick the landing leg with a strong controlled plié, along with at trailing leg extended straight in the air in a strong arabesque. Foot pointed to complete the line. But I do understand why it’s also called, because of the other dance move of jete tours in a circle like those Misha and Rudolph execute in Le Corsair, but in opposite directions. Or is the Pujones?

tour jetés do not look right when i do them to say the very very least ok so the easiest way i’ve EVER seen to do them is to do deggages(i can’t spell ballet terms i’m so sorry😭) five times(front, back, front, back, front) and on the fifth you rotate your body to where whatever foot you just did to the front is now to the back and then you jump and switch your feet i wish i could show cause i can’t put my thoughts into words✋😭

Because If you were trained differently… you’re going to call it something different… clearly she is Russian trained and Master Ballet Academy( which is where she trains) is a Russian school. So jete entrelace is correct for her. Americans call it tour jete. Which isn’t even correct in the French language. Educate yourself first before you attempt to be shady.
