The fact that the parents let their kid dress and be who they wanted, now look. The kid has grown into the adult she wanted to be and was allowed to have her happiness because of her families support. Imagine how many other kids are forced to dress or be the way their parents want, never given the opportunity to be themselves, grow up and have depression, suicidal thoughts, who marry who they think they need to marry, never being happy because they could never be themselves. And then so many ppl are surprised when someone as an adult comes out as trans, they say "but you never dressed like a woman before" well yeah because they were raised to be a boy because they were born a boy. They weren't allowed to dress or do what they wanted.

@Summer Wright: Hehe, thanks for the response. I get what you say, but let me explain why I respond here. Throughout a couple of visits to support groups for transgender people I've more than ever realized that, not only I have been lucky physically (with how my body turned out after boy puberty), but also socially, my parents are supportive and open (and especially the last part probably played a big role when I was young, for having toys some people probably associate with girls, just as well as having toys some would be more comfortable with seeing only their boys play with) and people at work are accepting just like friends. Being transgender I have joined a local wellbeing organisation that gives informational lessons on high schools in my city, to give children a chance to learn about transgenderism (biology lessons do not always cover it, unfortunately). Just last week, this Wednesday I had a deja-vous kind of feeling after a student used the argument that "You can allways recognize a transgender person by their hands" (probably pointing to the fact that in his opinion every male has big hands), a little less than a year after another student used the argument "You can allways tell a transgender person because of their Adamsapple". This worries me, not only for the fact that they have heard or read this somewhere, but also should, at one day a transgender student become a student there and there would be rumours because people do not know who it is, it's this kind of self-concluded science of certain kind of body characteristics that could make some students start to "clock" every girl that shares certain body characteristics that might deviate from what they consider to be "strictly female". Having them know that it doesn't always work out like that (especially genetics wise, we sometimes explain something about intersexuality as well, when there is time enough) can be a big thing to me, in much the same way as responding here hopefully does for some people.

What they are saying is that their feelings about themselves don't match their genitals. For people who are transgender, yes their genitals do matter, in fact their whole problem is that they feel like they were born with the wrong ones.

iBTS I'm glad that you brought this up. Genitals do matter to people who are transgender (ie mental disorder), that is why they need the gender reassignment surgery. Whereas the genitals don't matter movement can be more associated with a political gender fluid statement. Sadly, I can't really sum it up into a neat little package and would need to go into detail more on the subject. I wanted to make a transition to female when I was 10 years old, I didn’t take any action and I told my parents, they told me if you want to defiantly we will talk about it later! They also said they were totally on board but told me not to feel like I already wasn’t amazing the way I was. I went back and forth between my brain for years it was crazy to think about being a girl. I also wasn’t gay, I already knew I liked girls. Eventually when I hit late puberty around 15-16 I eventually said I liked the way I was. I wanted to stay a guy because I got use to the puberty I got use to the clothes, and conversations, the friends and all. I was very depressed at a younger age from not fitting in and having different interests. People mocked me and called me gay and a sissy. I’m not discriminating against Jazz I think she’s a beautiful woman. But at the same time I think she was confused at a younger age, and the parents didn’t do much parenting. A 2 year old should not know the word Vagina. I didn’t know the word Vagina or pussy till I was like 12. You have to let kids live as they are born until they tell you otherwise and wait until they are an older age to really start making the full transition. She was already going through stages at 6 years old. Maybe she would of liked being a guy if the parents weren’t so quick to it. Biologically yes she will always be a he. I think being trans is ok as long as you are male or female. My parents never said you can be an it or a they. My prayers and best wishes are for jazz but honestly I will always wonder if their was brainwashing because no one I met who’s trans said they knew at 2. They didn’t know until they were atleast 12-13. I’m glad I waited because I love being a guy and am happy the way I am :)

Exactly how i think about this case. The severe depressed mother was 150% convinced she should get a second daughter to make her ideal family complete. So she encouraged all the cultural defined " female" behavior of her 150% healthy born son. It is all culture. Nothing to do with biology. Even inter-sex people, who have all the rights to be exactly who they are born, do not want to fit in one of the two sexes anymore. Those who had to undergo surgery as babies ( as was common in the past century) often detest that it happened.

I now have a 30 year old FULL MALE SON. I didn’t encourage it. I didn’t discourage it. He was A TODDLER that was growing and learning. What jazz’s parents did was straight up child abuse. I am current reading and watching much information about trangenders and I will like to ask: What is suppose to mean to be a woman? What is what makes you a woman? What does it feel to be a woman? What is that exactly?, because I am a woman and I have never felt like a woman or a man. I have never felt that my gender affect personality... :/ Edit: When I made this comment I wanted to open the dialoge about how people relate things to a specific gender. Many people build their personality in what they see in society as female or male. But the biological part of our nature as human beings can't be denied. It is a fact. What is inside us is something diferent. It is upon us.

Now i do not oppose transgenders but i do not support their ideas either, for me they seem that they just enforce some sorta sexism; if you are a boy and say you like pink and sprinkles or if you are a girl who likes trucks and football then smh you are trans? This seems so sexist and closed minded for me i'm sorry i can't be part of such movement.

You know, I saw that premiere of Jazz several years ago, and was mad. I thought, it's so ridiculous to know at such a young age that you're not comfortable in your skin. I now know that I was wrong, I wasn't a mother yet. Now that I have been one for almost 7 years, I get why the parent's support Jazz in this decision. When she said, "I'd rather have a living daughter than a dead son", I just got it. No matter what your child identifies as, whether they're straight, gay, etc, we have to support that. They have so many obstacles on the outside, their home needs to be their constant, constant feeling of acceptance, love, protection, etc etc. I may not fully understand, but I know that it isn't my choice or life. I see no reason to make someone already facing many struggles, feel worse. I feel bad enough I judged her once, as well as her parent's.

Miss Me I knew I was gay before I was even in kindergarten. Don’t ask me how I knew. I just did. I didn’t even know what gay was. I just knew that I had the weird attraction to the same sex as me. It took me a long time to figure it all out. That’s why I will always advocate for a child that knows and is brave enough to say it aloud. I really hope Jazz has inspired more kids and parents such as yourself to be able to see that this isn’t a choice. It is indeed something we are born with. Idk what that is. A messed up chromosome or gene who the hell knows. Lord knows I didn’t ask for this. As well I’m sure she didn’t ask for it either. Anyways love your comment and glad you were able to see through everything.

Jazz way too young. Parents should protect children and be the adults. What parents are these to have show cased their child's life... on mainstream and social media? Very misleading and wrong to encourage child labelling. Would you out your daughter as a lesbian cos she held hands with another girl at two? May she will, maybe she won't.

@@compwhiz2000 That was your SIN nature and Satan whispering in your ear! Your parents OBVIOUSLY did not do what GOD would have wanted them to do, which is raise you in the fear and admonition of the LORD! "I knew this before kindergarten" is PURE HOGWASH. You have fallen for the deception that a CHILD can determine his/her sex or "orientation". BS!!! GOD has the final say, and if you do not REPENT and trust JESUS to save you out of the satanic delusion you are in, you will NOT end up well at all. Two ancient cities named SODOM and GOMORRAH tried this same failed social "experiment" and it ended very badly for them, and the same will befall you if you don't REPENT and turn before it is forever too late! This is not hate, but someone who cares enough about your eternal salvation to tell you the TRUTH, instead of "loving" you all the way to HELL! God will forgive, but you CANNOT continue in a lifestyle that he calls ABOMINATION. Read Leviticus 18:22 and 20:13, and also Deuteronomy 22:5 (condemnation of transgenderism) Read also Romans 1:24 to end of chapter, and 1 Corinthians 6:9. This last passage refers to the EFFEMINATE (transgender) and Abusers of themselves with mankind (homosexuals) who will NOT inherit the kingdom of GOD but end up in HELL! Also read Jude 6-7, where it talks about "going after strange flesh" referring to the judgement of Sodom and Gomorrah!

We are so far behind.:This is not an issue in a lot of Asia. Gender is in the mind. Get over it. That's only a small aspect of someone's identity. It does seem nuts, doesn't it. It's completely outside your experience, right? But don't let your discomfort make a judgment about something you obviously know nothing about. Trans experience is real. It feels like it's "nuts" because you have never encountered it. Nobody chooses this. Trans people are created that way. It's neither a sin, nor a choice. Trans people are just another glorious example of biological diversity. But don't take my word for it. You stand a very good chance of bumping into a trans person in your own life. For their sake, I hope you educate yourself by then. Before THEY have to educate you.

And I agree with Jay, the parents didn't even let his mind mature because a doctor mentioned "GeNdEr DySpHoRiA," depression and suicidal thoughts just to get that routine-money in. D Fronterhouse, I know way more about this topic than I care to know. What are the odds of 3 out of 3 girls in my family would cut their hair short, start binding and claim to have figured out that they are men now? Thank God I have been able to talk some sense into my daughter, but my brothers to girls have started testosterone without even talking to him. This is a spiritual war...in a perfect storm. If I could do my life over I would never put my daughter in public school. Like I said before "I am Jazz" is programing. It is pure evil to confuse children about their sex, causing a world of undo pain and suffering.

@eclipse That's not what I heard in that video at all. I heard that a child who identified as a girl didn't understand why she was being denied something that was natural to her. I can see how you would arrive at your conclusion, but you're looking at it from a "he's a boy" mentality. Listen again and know that Jazz is female internally- and I"m not speaking in metaphor there. There are over 150 studies that show conclusively that trans people have brain structures that exist in the sex opposite what their anatomy suggests. That's just a fact. Besides, why do you care so much? You even went to the trouble to post another video in your reply? You seem very passionate to attempt to prove that trans people don't exist. Well, THEY DO. And they're telling the truth. If it makes them happy to upend their lives and transition, I say more power to them. It has absolutely zero impact on your life. Let it go! Educate yourself. People who know a lot more than both of us are telling us this is a real, lived-in honest-to-God reality. Don't be so threatened by it. Embrace it as part of God's creation. Just because you haven't experienced it doesn't make it unreal.

My best friend at the age of, 11 year's old, was a 36 year old transgender female. Mon, was born a Male, but from a young age, lived in complete conflict with herself, and attempted suicide and self harmed throughout her year's. Because in the early 80's, nobody ever spoke about this. Being myself an abandoned child, I clung onto Mon, because she was the Mother I never had, and when I met her, I only saw a Magnificent beautiful lady, who was ready to make a Mother of herself, and give me the love I needed, and in return, I loved her , as God created her, absolutely an unconditional human being. Truly, underneath all that's in the mind's of people, is just people placing these thoughts upon your own minds. We're all human, and we all matter, and we all love the same, with our heart's.
