It took me too many fish lost to realize I had to compensate for my body weight tipping the kayak TOWARDS the damn fish as I reached for it, creating more slack than I realized in that instant. You can actually see it here ...from two angles!!! The yak tips with a slap, slack lie, pop! .... Great editing on this, btw....I've been following forever. These are great stories, and your friends are great. (I wrote that before I watched the second lost fish ...and it's the same moment)

I felt your pain when those fish came unbuttoned! Of course, the dogs were terrified when I jumped off the sofa screaming at the TV! However, since it's a two-day event, I have faith in you to make up the loss. Talking about grinds, Camp Far West on March 23 was definitely an exercise in patience. The lures had to be worked so slowly that I was nearly dozing my way out of the seat. Not only was there intermittent rain and 17 mph winds, but the threat of lightning was overhead no matter where we were on the lake. Fortunately, the weather calmed down by the weigh in, plus we scraped up a small limit. Happily you still placed in the top 10 - it will get better 😊🎣😊

Well Greg…one of these days I’ll actually get then CB ace to chat with you. You were out with the bass hookup the day I was supposed to be on the delta and ended up sick…the day you filmed this, I was on Pardee. I saw all you guys but didn’t realize it was a tournament. No wonder it was so tough…I was focused on that area you were…around the island and the coves at the south end of the lake. But…you had already beat it up. I was at salt springs valley reservoir earlier but it was horrible so I went to pardee and got there at 2pm. Your losses were heartbreaking. Hope to catch you in the water sometime.

@@GregBlanchardFishing You panic and I don’t blame you lmao. Technically when you’re tournament fishing and you’re still trying to limit at the end of the tournament, you’re never suppose to get one on last cast but you did lol and because of it anyone would’ve rush it. Everyone knows once you declare last cast you’re pretty much done, you could’ve gotten that fish maybe if you didn’t try to force it in and it didn’t seem like it was hook good too, plus the fact that it jump multiple time out of the water I’m like that fish is going to flick that hook off and I didn’t even think you were able to get that fish that close into your boat to which I thought you had it, when you lost it I almost threw my phone, had it been me I probably threw my rod in the water lmao 😂. I guarantee you slept that night and said to yourself “I could’ve place first if only.” Man suck, people who tournament fish know the feeling all too well.
