This year's carnival to mark farewell to winter in Paderborn was on February 10th. This holiday is attended by both adults and children. It’s so interesting and exciting to immerse yourself in this atmosphere.
They hand out sweets for children here if your costume is appreciated. To participate in it you need to submit an application in advance and prepare the number with which you want to participate. You will see many different costumes, performances, cars, wishes and other things in the carnival column.
For every German, carnival is not just entertainment, but a real ritual for which they prepare for several months. After all, you need to come up with a performance, music, appearance, etc. for it. The carnival is celebrated for several days, about a week or two. Depends on the state of Germany. But it is definitely celebrated in all German states.
In order to have a good look up close, you need to take your seats at least an hour and a half in advance. And then you will be one of the first to stand and drive everything up close. Children take bags with them so that they can collect various sweets that people scatter from the column. Don’t forget that when going to the carnival it is important to take a good mood and a costume with you.
After all, every year the costumes here are more and more interesting, new and unique. We captured for you a unique carnival from the front row in the city of Paderborn. From the very first minute you will be able to watch it and enjoy the performance with us.
