@@Bergs_Adventures Now that I think about it, an additional explosive reaction could actually come from their own bodies. The extreme pressure at that depth for a split-second during the implosion, could turn oxygen into liquid form. All oils (including body fat) are not only explosive from extreme pressure, but oils at any pressure that make contact with liquid oxygen, has an explosive reaction. The reason I thought of this is, my Uncle was in the service during Vietnam and worked in the Motor-Pool doing vehicle maintenance. He was walking by a hazardous-materials storage area. By dumb-luck someone had accidentally spilled or released some liquid oxygen. There were "balls" of LOX bouncing outside, going everywhere. My Uncle had just cleaned up an oil-spill that morning and had oil on his boots. He inadvertently stepped on one of those ball of LOX and BOOM it blew half the sole off his boot!! The Titan was originally certified to 3000 metres then, as far as the available information suggests, this was increased to 4000 metres without modification. It has made 13 dives to the Titanic before this one. This means it exceeded its crush depth 14 times, as the depth was 300 metres deeper than original testing. What has happened looks like the vessel has been weakened by over stressing the structure too many times. The result is a catastrophic failure which ended with implosion. The occupants may have heard the failure but the speed of the implosion due to the pressure would have been so fast that their brains probably hadn't the time to process what was happening. In a way it was a mercifully quick and painless death. My prayers and condolences to the family and friends of the occupants, may they rest in peace.

The ability of the tourist sub’s hull design to withstand such depths was questioned in a 2018 lawsuit filed by OceanGate’s former director of marine operations, David Lochridge, who said he was fired after he raised safety concerns about the vessel. The same happened when Alexander Carlysle, a designer at Harland and Wolf, raised concerns about the inadequate number of lifeboats on Titanic. His concerns were ignored and he resigned. I read that their means of communication was a play station. The Titanic was not responsible for more deaths - it was the fault of this company for failing to provide adequate safety, and it was the sea. I don't think that naming this submersible Titan was a very good idea - it is 2 letters short of the name Titanic.

Actually the Titanic had the required number of lifeboats standard to other ships at that time. When a ship usually sinks, it leans to either one side, making the launch of half the lifeboats on the ship impossible. Since the transatlantic crossing was a virtual highway of ships, it was decided that on all ships, instead of overloading the vessel with life boats, adequate numbers were provided to ferry passengers to a rescue boat then go back for more passengers.

PH Nargeolet was definitely an explorer. He's was one of the leads that recovered many artifacts as well as a 20-ton piece of the hull. He was one of the highly regarded underwater explorers of our generation.

I find it even negligent. They could have gotten certified, hired more experienced people, or made changes after the whistleblower, pressures from investors or letter from the certification agency they received. I was personally hoping for a miracle and for these men to be saved. My thoughts are with the friends and families.

@@michaelripley4528 I mean I’m not saying this would’ve made a difference.. Perhaps it wouldn’t have, but I would’ve at least exhausted all options possible to ensure the maximum level of safety! Such a tragedy

Most of the people qualified were middle aged ex military. And the CEO didn't think that would be inspiring.

@@alinacbf There Will be regulations in procedures like if any experimental Vessels, like that one Can be operated by any Crew in the future… We must evolve hard after this disaster, to prevent that Companies Can get arround those certifications and not certifications.. By my means Titanic should be left in peace, ever after this… We have loads of footage form it, and some did some State of the art perfect clear sonar pictures… This could Take everyone on a virtual tour arround the Titanic in the future, without disturbing the graveyard peace. 1.500 +5 new members of disaster. Ofcourse we need to get the full picture of the latest disaster before claiming peace at the graveyard🤷🏼♂️ There are Way more facinating areas to discover and visit as tourists in the future… Volcanic chimneys and the Strange life nearby Them - Just to Take one of these areas🌍!❤️

With all of the negative things happening in the world right now, I really held hope for a miracle until the last minute. The world coming together hoping and praying for a miracle was a moment we may have all needed right now even though we didn't get the miracle we had wanted so badly. The only silver lining is knowing that they weren't suffering down there all these hours as we had feared and that it happened quickly. I pray their families and loved ones find some peace in that.

The sub imploded dude, it wasnt no sophisticated piece of equipment. Youre not gonna piece together what happened.

I think the crew that guide Titan Submercible from Polar Prince knew all along what had happened into 1 hr and 45 minute dive but to protect the oceangate they planned not to dislose that information and that's why they delayed to call for help until that evening and then they decided to tell the US Coast Guard that the Titan has gone missing.

Would they have heard the implosion I wonder?

That makes no sense. They waited the amount of time it would have taken to complete the trip.

@UwU-pk6nv dude, it was an noise, that’s all. You hear a crash outside, you have no idea what it was… you go outside and see it’s a car crash, then you know. Get real.

@@gracebateman777 I don't think so but the crew guiding from above must have picked sudden disappearance (NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE) of the sub on the tracking map in their computer.

@@michaelbee8263 The trip would not have been completed without the guidance from crew aboard the polar prince. As you know the debris have been found 1600 ft away from Titanic wreckage. Alos in previous trips last year, BBC reporter onboard the Titan explained how they are guided by crew on mother ship to get to the Titanic Wreckage.

They were made aware of the risks and signed a waiver that mentioned death 3 times. They accepted that risk.
