The Bride of Six Centuries (La Sposa dei Sei Secoli) is a Gothic drama produced by Savoia Film in 1916. The film recounts the story of the Prince of Solar's successful attempt to resurrect Brandina, a woman who had been dead for six centuries. However, when Etel - the prince's nephew - falls in love with Brandina, the story is given an unexpected twist. Savoia Film was a production company based in Turin between 1911 and 1923. Despite its notable output, very few of the company's films survive today.

Etel knocks on the Prince of Solar's door, but is rejected by his butler. Therefore, he returns with a friend and schemes another entry to the building. The two find a ladder. They prop it up against the wall and Etel climbs in through the window. Once he is in the building, he spies on the prince and Brandina. He creeps around the house and attempts to overhear their conversation. The prince is talking to Brandina. Etel decides to walk in: the two jump up when they see him and Brandina embraces Etel. Intertitles: 'The resemblance of Etel to her old sweetheart makes Brandina believe it is really him.' Etel and the prince fight over the woman, until the butler takes her away, leaving the two to discuss. Intertitles: “She is not an ordinary women, she was resurrected by my science. It is my triumph, my love, she is mine…”

Etel listens to his uncle and then chases him while he flees. Intertitles: 'Etel's friend is worried.' In the meantime, Etel's friend waits outside and calls for him. Etel has been locked in a room and call his friend from the window. The man climbs the ladder and looks in. Etel is freed from the locked room. The two have returned to Etel's house, where three women join them. Intertitles: 'Returned home, Etel and his friend talk about their romantic adventure.' The women listen and then leave. Intertitle: “We must free that girl from the hands of my uncle.' The two discuss the plan. Intertitle: 'The next evening.' A car approaches the palace and the two friends get out. They knock on the door and capture the butler with a rope, forcing him to the ground. Intertitles: 'Brandina willingly follows the one whom she believes to be her sweetheart.' While Brandina listens out, Etel finds her and takes her away while covered in a veil. They exit the building and free the butler as they leave, who raises to call for the prince.

In the meantime, the prince is mixing potions, when the butler warns him. Intertitles: “Sir, they have kidnapped the princess.” The prince flees in shock. He enters the room where she was to find she is gone. Etel and his friend accompany her to the car, they get in and leave. The prince attempts to follow. The group enters Etel's home, where he reassures her. Cut to a party scene, the group talks and rushes out of the door. A car approaches the building and Etel, his friend, and Brandina alight and walk towards the house. The party group gathers around the door, from which Brandina and the others make their entry. Intertitle: 'The uncle not finding his nephew at home, goes to Mary's house to make inquiries.' The prince runs to the house. The people attending the party gather around Brandina, who faints on the sofa, while Etel attends to her.

When the prince sees the car, he rushes into the building. Intertitle: 'Lacking the influence of Rosa Alchimica, Brandina becomes weaker and weaker and dies … Falling to dust.' Etel attempts to revive Brandina, surrounded by agitates party-goers. The prince bursts through the door and approaches the woman, he tears Etel away and stares in shock. Intertitle: “You have killed her, you have destroyed my triumph, my love!!!”
The final scene is repeated in the print, but backwards and tinted purple. A subsequent film appears to be attached to the end.
