Italian Tank Fiat 2000. Designed in the middle of World War I, the Fiat 2000 was the first Italian tank ever designed. Brought into service in the spring of 1918, it does not appear to have been used operationally during the conflict; despite this, the Fiat was one of the heaviest and most armed tanks of WWI as well as one of the most innovative. Of the only two examples built, one kept in the metropolitan territory and one transferred to Libya, unfortunately all traces were lost before the end of the Second World War.
The vehicle on display is a 1:1 scale reproduction made between 2018 and 2021. The tank is on display at the Museo delle Forze Armate in Montecchio Maggiore, offering a rare glimpse into a piece of Italian military history.
