Italian from Italy here and couple of things: - One classic Margherita pizza is around 7/8€ in the north and 4/5€ in the south...if you see a price higher than that for a normal Margherita you know that everithing will be overpriced (usually in touristic spots). - The guide talked about the origins of it in a very generic way and told only the recipe for the base so, not that informative in my opinion. - Trancio is a type of pizza but not a classic one so you can put whatever the hell you want on it 😂 - The truffle pizza is another type of pizza called Pizza Gourmet and its a completely different dish that is called like that just cause it resemble a pizza, still really good but yeah, not a "real" pizza.

2:48 Sonny most ppl eat a pizza from the center out. even when sliced, which part of the slice do most ppl take their first bite? yep, the center pointed end, not that outer crust.
@TheGingaWeirdo
3 ай бұрын
I like to eat two bites out of each corner of the crust first, and leave the center of the crust for a hand hold. Then I enjoy the rest of the slice. My theory is that with a reduced crust length right away, there is more pizza surface area to enjoy, and you won't have to fight the crust for the last few good bites. Then the middle piece of crust is devoured.

I love pineapple on pizza with ham, green peppers. Whether you love it or hate it you can thank a Canadian from Greece. He ran a restaurant in Chatham, Ontario. In the mid-1960s, he created the Hawaiian pizza.

As always great video, love Italian food and Sonny's humour, but a pinnacle to me was an Italian guide, ex-kindergarten teacher with a penchant for pronunciation. I literally felt her anxiety and the need to step in and correct :D :D :D Not because I speak Italian - but I FEEL that need too :D All the best Sonny, Sonny's wife, the whole crew and, of course, our stellar guide.

You should always do, if you cut it early it is not good for the pizza especially if it gets transportet. Cut it yourself and eat it, with hand or a fork ... But italian pizza is thin, and sometimes you need to eat the middle part with fork and knive because it isnt stable as a piece

When I traveled to Italia about 2 years (pre hyper inflation), I went to small local restaurant near Maranello, where the Ferrari museum is. I had to do a 2 hour trip to get there from Milano, taking transfers at Bologna and Modena. I saw the price of Pizzas as low €2,50 for a Margaritha Pizza. Having lived in Barcelona where Pizza slices are famous, I asked them how big is the size of the Pizza. My Italian friend and the waiter started laughing intensely and told me in a heavy Italian accent "that is one whole pizza". Clearly, the 9€ Pizza you got is not the cheapest and definitely one of the tourist spots. I am sure even in Roma, you can find local places for 4 or 5 € Pizzas.

I really like your videos! I'm born in Rome but i want to tell you: if you want to really eat the best pizza in Italy, you have to go to Naples. Rome has his own "pizza culture" with "pizza al taglio" and a "skinnier pizza" (in Italian, cause i don't know how to describe it: la pizza Romana è più sottile e bassa) and i like Roman style, but Naples is simply the home of Pizza and you have to go there because you will be surprised by the Naples pizza !!
