Heat waves, known as "लू" in India, are fast, hot, and dry winds that sweep across the region during the summer season. According to doctors, high air temperatures can cause severe health issues and even death. Alarmingly, 90% of our country is exposed to these dangerous conditions. Since 1992, over 24,000 lives have been lost in India due to heat waves. India's average temperature has increased by 0.7 degrees Celsius. According to the Ministry of Earth Sciences, even a slight change in temperature can lead to droughts, floods, heat waves, cloudbursts, or glacial melting. The adverse effects of these changes are being observed in various parts of the country.
