Hi there; big move to sell your gear, but I get it. And I have been with both iTelescope and TelescopeLive and found that iTelescope just didn't do it for me. The interface was one issue, but what really tipped me in TelescopeLive's favour was the huge assortment of calibrated images that they make available at really reasonable rates all the time. It keeps me occupied while I wait for my own skies to clear here in New Zealand.

Yeah I need to go back to it and try love again. I love processing man and the software and the tech. It sucks so bad just watching stuff sit. I tried to share as much of my data as I could. For some reasons people on KZitem don’t really do that to help others get by so have to find a way to get my own. Agree I telescope needs dumb downed or redone or something. It’s weird how to build a plan and all that and get it going and then not really having a good idea on price.

@@easyastroimages5818 I hear you! When I first started out, I took advantage of all the channels that made data available to get some practice learning to use Pixinsight and APP, and now I feel pretty confident with PI (I have more or less given up on APP, other than for some stacking when PI won't do what I want), and I owe a lot of that to those free data sets that people shared. I understand why some don't want to do that, but it's really helpful when they do!

Selling your Astro kit is a big choice.. it’s totally understandable as I am and have been in the same situation . Ironically the weather has been pretty good this year for me but life style changes have meant I have not had a chance to go out. As I don’t have a dome or pier this means a lot of effort setting up and breaking down each night. That said it’s so important for me to capture my own data with my own kit. Using other people’s equipment to capture data feels empty to me. If you are only interested in processing data then I am sure there are forum groups out there who share data. Your video has helped me decide to keep my kit at the moment. Thanks 😊

I agree for sure. I’ve built so many kits over the past 12 years. I am totally cool with that. I really need and want to improve processing. I want to play with mono and rgb data. That would be just more money and less stuff being used. So far my decision has been right Maybe 2 nights out of the past 30 have been clear :(

Great video! Getting great data is half the battle. One thing I didn't think of until seeing your video is that by using these services, you can basically get data for any target in either hemisphere. Very cool :)

thanks..yeah that's a big bonus. I have only processed one southern target and that data was free from Logans astro channel
