@@RYNT1157 What type of engine is in it Tom? It sounds more like a 121 / 141 engine, than the C class sound that I remember.

@@dublinthebest The Crossley engine had a loud humming noise , the 645 1,100 GM engine in them was the same as the 181 power unit the only difference is it had a double exhaust outlet different to that on the 181 some it made some noise when notched up.

@@RYNT1157 Thanks Tom, I worked as a coach builder in CIE/ Irish rail In Inchicore for many years, and I did a few maintenance stints in Connolly station loco shed. There were quite a few C class engines based there, and I remember them as being noisy buggers when revved. They were a lot more noisy than the A class. Thanks for the info Tom.
