It's a legit fun topic. Not one I ever thought I needed to read, but to fill in my understanding of the characters I read through it. I now totally get it. Quite a cool concept.

@@tennesseefats I'm a giganic fan of Captain America, so I devoured these comics when I purchased them from 1991-2001. Plus it does not hurt that The Invaders are a Roy Thomas Brainchild. Also, The Invaders are canonically The Avengers from 1942-1949.

Very true! They are those early Avengers. It was fun to read the What if that was included in this one and the editorial letter at the end explaining that it was the intent of it being canon. I read a LOT of the Captain America stuff when I was first reading comics back in the late 80's and early 90's and the Baron Blood thing was always one that had me kind of scratching my head so reading this one really helped me get a handle on what that was all about. Definitely a must for any serious Captain America fans!

@@tennesseefats Not exactly my point, but still valid. I meant that The Invaders and Avengers are one and the same Team.

What's the series of books behind you with the red numbers?

The white ones that would be behind my left shoulder? Those are the Vagabond Series from Viz. It's the comic adaptation of the life of Miyamoto Musashi. He's the author of the Book of Five Rings.

@@tennesseefats Thanks. I've not heard of that. What a great way to read a biography.

It’s out of my taste as a super new reader, but great review!

Thanks! It's definitely one that was out of my scope too! But, at the end of the day I'm glad to have this one added to the library.
