While known for his great piano compositions, Chopin often wrote his music in great consideration of the female soprano voice. The violin the the closest instrument by many account to the female voice. No wonder this nocturne came out so great! And of course having Itzhak Perlman performing this on his Stradivarius makes this awesomely great.

Only a person who only talked with thier violin about his sorrows, happy monents, secrets, pains and dreams and cried and laughed with it for all their life gets to this point where his playing is the sound form of emotions and as free as dreams that can fly freely, and lightly like a bird.
The depth of feeling evoked by this piece and his playing cannot be described by mere words.

The Toronto Symphony will ONLY sell tickets in packages; you have to buy several recitals at a time, some of them for performances many don't care to see. And then they wonder why attendance (and revenues) are falling. Whoever runs their marketing department needs to be fired.
