That thing sounds good Glenn! sounds mildly cammed up. I didn't hear at the beginning if it's a 260, or 289. Looks like about a Holley 600 4160 on top? Vacuum 2ndaries? Sweet ride there. That one looks exactly like the first one of those I ever saw..... a 64, in 1964, I was 14 riding my bicycle home from the pool, and going by Kennemer Ford in Athens Alabama, saw it sitting in the back parking lot of the dealership before the official unveiling. My buddy and I stopped cold, ran over to look at it and drooled ALL over it.

It was a California built and sold 64. Built June 64. Originally a 260 car. It had a broken 289 in it. It sat in 2 owners garage in Riverside for 30 years, neither owner fixed the broken engine , ive had it 21 years. I had Garrett Race Engines build it. Its .060 over, 2 cylinders had to be sleaved. Mike Garrett specified the cam and provided the heads. Edelbrock intake, 600 Holley vac secondaries. I had the intake, exhaust, and other parts ceramic coated, crane electronic ignition. The engine is strong! I was born in 64. My first car was a 64 Galaxie 500 XL

Retired police Howdy! from Texas. Recently discovered you, sir, having accidentally inherited a mint condition set of 70-80s "Peavey special edition" obscure pa gear. I searched out and watched several of your vintage videos, subscribed, and watched them all. Today, I get this from you...a Mustang feature. HA. There are no coincidences. Thank you, sir! -Eric, an Accidental-Peavey-Nerd, Life-Loyal-Mustanger-and your Brother in Christ

Check the video at 13:57 and look left fender white bottle/red cap....above the hose looks like an electrical arc happening as the engine runs.

Good eye... It's the red led light on the Crane Ignition Box. My engine builder was a Crane Dealer, and on two of my rigs, he used Crane Ignition. I put pertronix on all my other rigs.

@@GlennsSpeedShop Try to help spot a short or bad ground after mention of a wiring issue. Broken connectors & iffy splices are a pet peeve of mine. At least your CEL isn't on with a list of DTC...LOL? My fav Mustang was shown on old-old TV "Spencer for Hire" 1967-69 fastback? Hope you get the paint all fixed up how you like.
