Ivona Ries wouldn’t have Ghostbusters: Afterlife in her credits if it wasn’t for one person.
She had worked with a first assistant camera on many other projects. When Ghostbusters was coming to town to film, he called her. “Originally, I was the only local person in the camera department,” she says.
Productions require you to be on set for so many hours. Ivona adds it’s important for you to get along with your crew. It’s not just about starting relationships. It’s about working effectively with the people you meet.
