The pro mastering studio brings the track to live more, it has a human feel than the rest, the best for me 🎉

You did a great job with this comparison! So important to loudness match them. For my tastes, I think the Auto target's brightness and vocal boost are my favorite. I think I'm also hearing more width on the Ozone masters, which I like.

Thank you for your comment! Yes Ozone did a great job, I wouldn't say that it beats mastering studio, but with some detailed tweaking it can give very professional sounding results

Very cool demo. Sounds like Sterling balanced all the elements of the track really well compared to the original and the ozone master

Too much brightness in the Ozone 11 Auto Target file, it hurts my ears, while listening on Sennheiser HD 650 Headphones. The Pro Mastering Studio file sounds way "warmer" in the mid range. Just my 2 ears :0)

I always love the comments on stuff like this. The pro master isn't much different than the unmastered ver. Not enough different that i would pay for. The ozone versions are brighter and less muddy at the bottom end than the pro master ver. All in what you want to listen to. Everyone hears thing a bit differently.

Your suppose to tweak the Ozone 11 assistant master til its comparable then compare. That's a better comparison the Studio master version just sounds like more time was taking with it.

Absolutely, you make a valid point. While it's true that I could have fine-tuned Izotope Ozone until it achieved a studio-level sound, the primary focus of this comparison was to assess its artificial intelligence capabilities and determine how closely it can emulate the work of a professional mastering studio.

There is definitely not much difference except for the brightness that the ozone adds more, I created a master with my plug ins, and I compared it with the ozone one and my surprise was that the sound was identical to my master, in conclusion, I would not pay an engineer at least that my music is being marketed very well. Save yourself from investing in mastering and try mastering yourself or use the ozone 11 option.

Pro master has depth and is tight transient and loud But ozone can fool the ear of the average listener Ozone is perfect for home producers who arent sweating the technical side of music and just wanna make their tracks sound better and louder To be real tho i genuinely liked the before mastering most in terms of an overall sound Sure not as tight and dynamic but theres this fullness and warmth to it Could be the garbage headphones im using rn tho lol

A clear win for Sterling Sound, by miles. No surprise - never been a fan of Ozone. Sounds too bright and harsh for my taste.

Hey why is the mix before mastering already at -0.3db Why you not leaving any headroom like -3 to -6db for mastering???
@roman_styx

If you have high drum transients on top of your waveform it’s absolutely ok, anyway they will be limited or clipped during mastering process. It’s more important not to overcompress before mastering. Dynamic range - this is what mastering engineer needs to have

sterling sound, more thump on the kick and less bass, Ozone with reference track too much bass all around, for both the voice didn't stand out too much... but maybe that's the standard... ozone autotarget the more pleasant to immediate listening, must say the mix had very little to be perfected

You can pro master on Ozone just fine, but you need to be a pro mastering engineer or someone with good mastering knowledge to do it.. The AI won't help you that much.

Pro Mastering sounds like decisions where made based on listening environment more fine tuned.. Ozone sounds more smeared and distorted more highs but still holds a preferred vibe..but alters the mix more based on mathematic equation but not sound.. keep the human vibe PEOPLE!!!!!!!

Sure, our experiences and trained ears play a crucial role in music mastering. At this stage, AI alone can't quite match the expertise of top mastering engineers who bring their personal touch and wealth of experience into the mix. Nevertheless, AI can certainly serve as an excellent starting point.

@@roman_styx "bring wealth of experience into the mix" Is the most important part to look for with mastering, because most claiming the title of Mastering Engineer don't even have the ear experience, just the tools.
