With his wager he will always be known as a ballsey champ. Just because He didn’t win as much as holzhauer doesn’t mean he won’t be remembered as a badass champ. He’ll be remembered for that wager for a long time. Fact!!

If I was one of the other contestants I would have yelled "it's Vancouver you moron" after about an hour and a half of waiting for him to answer. I wouldn't have cared about the money, I just want to get to the other seven questions we could have seen if he didn't take all day answering such a simple question

Y’all may think I’m lying but when Alex finished the answer, I almost instantly said Vancouver. I just thought of cities kind of near Detroit and I realize that it’s no where near Detroit, but it just popped into my head lol. On a side note it takes just under 40 hours to drive from Detroit to Vancouver, or 7 hours to fly

The key to the clue was "Southwestern". That only leaves one option: Vancouver.

Southwest was confusing. I've never heard of Vancouver referred to as southwest. Took me a sec to figure it out.
@Itsmytest

@@feifeijay That actually made the clue (for me, anyway) fairly obvious. He said "Southwestern Canada". That makes Vancouver the one and only option of the whole country; all the other major Canadian ports are on the St. Lawrence. I actually wonder if he was questioning whether or not the answer was that easy.

@Itsmytest I always think of Vancouver as northwest as in Pacific Northwest but yes southwestern makes complete geographically sense.

Great clip! That couldn't have been more dramatic for me as a viewer. I live in Los Angeles, but when I saw the clue, I knew right away. But why did he look like he didn't know? I can't believe how long he took! I was shouting "VANCOUVER!" and he said it just in time.

13 seconds to answer. Seems a bit long. I know they normally give more than the usual 5 seconds for a DD, but 13 seconds seems generous.
