Merci
My dear subscribers and friends, on this July 1st and to mark Canada Day, I decided to share with you my cover of a song written by Daniel Lavoie, a Canadian singer. Daniel Lavoie, a very talented singer-songwriter, was born in Manitoba (contrary to popular belief, he is therefore not from Quebec) and composed ''J'ai quitté mon île'' an amazing song addressing the subject of our irresponsibility towards ecology. Here, I share with you my cover (version of Marc-André Fortin) of this remarkable musical work, both in terms of its melody and its powerful and moving text. At the end of the video, I added a personal thought on the matter. Thank you very much for your warm support, take care of yourself!🙏😊💛

* The videos integrated in my editing are copyright free.
* * Please note that the original sound recording is done simultaneously with the video recording (image recording) and therefore, it is NOT a playback. The recording of the voice is done in real time before the audio mixing (by me). In some videos, my microphone is positioned a little further from me, outside the frame and the camera screen, to avoid saturation (especially on high or powerful notes) on my recording. Thank you**
Lyrics translated in English
I left my island
I left my island
When I was sent away
I left her alone
Without singing or crying
One fine morning, you will see the sails of my sailboat
Set sail for the islands
I left my tree
We wanted to cut it
I found the sands
Nothing was planted there anymore
One fine morning, you will see the sails of my sailboat
Set sail for the islands
I left my land
We wanted to buy it
We don't buy land
The earth is me and you
One fine morning you will see the flames of my rocket
Take the sky to my island
One fine morning you will see the flames of my rocket
Take the sky to my island
