Taiwan belong to China? Can please tell me why both of them are using different passports

@@andysg7902 if u genuinely want to know if Taiwan belongs to China using passport, just look at Taiwan passport, it states clearly ‘Republic of China’. Because without the word ‘China’, Taiwan passport would not even be recognised as literally no country in the world recognises ‘Taiwan’ as a country. Plus, the Taiwanese (ROC) passport is not recognised by UN.

@@andysg7902 This is a result of the civil war after WWII, the defeated party retreated to Taiwan but still recognized itself as the Republic of China (ROC). Believe it or not, ROC also recognizes Taiwan as a province but currently with $0 budget and under the direct leadership of Executive Yuan. In addition, in 1992, both ROC and PRC reached a mutual consensus that both sides would recognize one China but with different interpretations of China.
