So I wanted to say something about concepts and brand identity. I work in marketing as a graphic designer, and when we're trying to come up with marketing strategies and brand identity for a company. We make mood boards featuring different aesthetics we think will match the brand. We then design within the guidelines of the aesthetic, and create something original. This is what I believe happened with NJ. I'm not defending MHJ but I do understand how marketing development, and the design process works. NJ is based on the Y2K aesthetic and they've taken inspiration from all aspects of that era including the 90s. I think a lot of people are forgetting that most of the groups named (Ones netizens are saying she copied.) were not even in the Y2K era, they were in the 90s era which was vastly different from Y2K. Girl groups were beginning to fade out by the early 2000s with the exception of Play, Blaque, Cheetah Girls, and Destiny Child. And the Cheetah Girls weren't a group that promoted regularly. As someone who was a child in the 2000s I can tell you the real Y2K era did not last long, it was around for about a year or two then everyone moved on. Ik I went on a bit of a rant but I just wanted to make a few things clear because this whole NJ vs the world is so unnecessary. Min Hee Jin shouldn't have made things public and should've left with NJ in silence. I don't think we needed to be involved in any of this mess.

omg thank you for this 😭 I'm not working in any brand or desain related job, but I've watch Master in the House when JYP was the master.. in one of the episodes, he show a book in his desk and saying something along the line that it was the basis or JYP ent.. so when all these things come up and people targeting NJ and MHJ, the first thing that came to my mind is this was what MHJ meant, it's not that HYBE create a NJ copycat, but they stole Adore research material for NJ by using it without MHJ permission, they using the advantage from their position as her boss so they have access to all those files
