nvm. Oyama was always a humble man as are all truly great men. He is trying to pass his great knowledge on to the "young chicks". He is absolutely correct. You should always apologise first, and be able to fight for honour, if they don't forgive you. Thanks again for your insight, nvm.
one of his student got into trouble by beating thugs out school. so the branch school masters were upset about the inccident however Oyama said the student didnt do noting wrong. you practice karate to fight, not to pose. He said "keep your head low but eyes up high." He tell students that if they get into trouble, apologize but if the opponent didnt forgive you and try to take advantage of you like thugs, go ahead and use karate. if you cant, no point learning karate so quit.
