that would be gargantuan. Malcolm Mitchell had so much talent and had such a bright future. I just worry he is another N'Keal Harry. And then people say oh no, he is Jakobi Meyers "but with more talent." That's still not good enough. I hope you are right.

Pennix throws a lot of floaters and high balls. I think that's why it looks like he's running slow. He's waiting for the ball. Good thing he has the strength to fight for the ball, because the defenders had a chance to get to the spot as well.

My NFL comp for Polk is Davante Adams - very similar size and athletic profile, with Polk actually being a bit faster and significantly more explosive in the 40 than Adams. The first time I watched Polk run his routes, Adams jumped in my mind as a comp - neither of them is a speed demon and they both create separation thru a sudden change in direction, a twitchy first step when they set up their routes. One can sort of see the Packers connection in the evaluation of Polk as a prospect. Obviously Adams is a lofty comp but Polk projects to be a very good player in the NFL, who has been quite a bit underrated in the pre-draft process, imo.

Before I listen one of my favorite players in the draft. Polk is a perfect replacement for Boyd & prolly Tee. I have very hard time passing him up in the 2nd for Bengals at 40. Physicality puts him above most Wr to me Pearasal would be my other favorite. I feel safer with Polk for some reason I think he plays bigger might be better on the outside. I would be very excited with either. It would be DT or Wr in 2nd for me for the Bengals.

Rice was a downfield contested catch guy in college. Polk is a a downfield acrobatic catch guy. Both have relatively average NFL athleticism and relatively average size. I see the comparison. I don't know that their transition to an NFL role will be the same though. Rice became a poor man's Debo Samuel scheme the guy the ball and let him pick up YACs. I'm not seeing that capacity in Polk's tape. Granted, I didn't see that in Rice's either, though that could have been due to the lingering chronic foot injury that hobbled him in his last year of college.

Some people in New England a bit underwhelmed with the WR selections but I really love it. Especially liked the stat you said about 45 1st Downs on 70 catches... Patriots were 31st in the league in 1st downs, defenses were loading up on the run and when they had a negative run on 1st and 10 it felt like they might as well just punt it on 2nd and 12. Good to have a guy you can expect to move the chains. 🙌

Not loving the pick, I mean yes he probably isn’t bad sure. But I think you had a chance to get McConkey who to me is the more polished guy and NFL ready. Polk seems like a big slot, he does not strike me as fast and or extremely good route runner yk. I mean maybe he proves me wrong which I hope he does but McConkey seemed to be the screaming pick especially that it seems both players are around the same body type lol. Idk seems like another head scratching move by NE trade down to get an average receiver
