Crooked lobbyist Jack Abramoff explains how he asserted his influence in Congress for years, and how such corruption continues today. Lesley Stahl reports.
Four years was way too lenient...should have been 25 to life. I hope he's been forced to pay the multi-million dollar fines and 1.7 million he owes the IRS.

What is your opinion about this video? What do you think the government should or should not do about it? Why does the government allow it to happen? What are the solutions to this problem?

Same questions I ask. Government allows it to happen cause they're the ones enjoying the perks. A way to possibly slow it down is make the punishment fit the crime. Another words, more arrests, more jail time, more financial penalties. Those involved got slaps on the wrists at worst, many nothing at all.
