This comment has almost nothing to do with the actual context of this lesson in particular, but it's a recent one so I thought you'd probably see this. I've been watching your videos since I turned 14. I live in a relatively low income household, so I was never able to afford taking lessons. Instead, I scrambled over KZitem looking for someone to teach me how to play the damn thing and the songs that made me who I am. I'm now graduating high school in a few weeks, so I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate what you do for people like me. I've met so many important people in my life through the music I learned from you over the years. These lessons you make aren't for nothing. Peace and love, man.

That's great Scotty! James James is amazing! I'm 48 and still learning, he has a superb ear and always nails it! When I was your age, way before KZitem, I took lessons and had one teacher whose accuracy reminds me of this channel. Took bad, that teacher got a gig with an Elvis play (I saw him in that show at the Beacon theater!) but he hit the road and I never found another teacher who was as good! Best of luck to you! :)

Hi Scotty I agree with you! At the beginning he never really did lessons ... but now he shares and teaches and is very talented and modest ... an excellent charismatic guy who does not boast about being all that good ... but he is a brilliant resource and motivation! Thank you!👍✨💫

Hi James, I’ve been scrolling through KZitem guitar instructional videos, and everywhere I look, I find your excellent postings! This video is no exception even though it is several years old. To me, it’s brand new. I’ve just paused it at the point where you methodically explain the hammering on at the A chord (B at 2, D at 4). This is probably the hardest part of the song for me. You know this so you moved in closer to the camera, and you slowed things down so that even a plodder, like me, can grasp what you’re trying to teach us (with lots of practice). I’m writing this because you’ve really taught me a tremendous amount - not just songs, but guitar techniques that can be added as skills to my repertoire. I’m also writing because I want you to know that you’ve made a huge positive difference. Just think, if everyone who learns from your videos took it upon himself/herself to do one kind, generous, selfless act per day, and that in turn inspired others to do the same, just think what an amazing difference that would make in our day to day lives? Where does this start? Well, for me, it starts every time I view a James James instructional video. Your videos centre around guitar instruction (and your incredible ear and playing ability), but your legacy is one of selfless generosity as you’ve shared your gift with us! You didn’t have to, but you chose to do so. You’ve enriched us as a result. Thank you. You’ve inspired me as a player and a person. Be well! Ted

It's great having these easier playing songs and lessons together with the more complex ones. Thank you, @JamesJames. It would be great to know a little bit more how did you used to practice to reach this far. For example, I cannot move my finger independently. When I press my middle finger, my pinky flies up away from the ring finger.

This song sounds so good it leads me to another question for your next Q & A video (commenting here as this is a recent vid and seems to get your attention). Question: “if someone, such as a relative, socially said “Play something” …. Do you have a standard preselected “Go To” Song …. For example “Tommy” …. or “Classical Gas” that is more about showing guitar skills and does not require singing?”

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and like what they like but I really don't get the hype over them. Obviously the singer does a spot on Robert Plant impression because pretty much 90% of the comments about them are "They sound just like Led Zepplin!!!". I guess today we are so starved for new rock bands we take what we can get...lol
