Great changes but still more to revise. I completely agree with you, that is why I haven't bought one yet. Not quite there, but getting closer. Bluetooth capability would be a wonderfull addition. Thanks for the review!!! Very insightful and informative. Till next video, take care.

The old Jackery handle design was exactly why 2yrs ago I bought a Bluetti Maxoak 300w and matching portable 120w solar panel kit. Plus the Bluetti had the cordless phone charging pad on the top of the unit. Glad to see Jackery moved to the next level. 👍

My biggest complaint with the Jackery, and most other power stations, is the lack of USB charging ports. 5 volt DC through USB ports has become the new 12 volt. More and more equipment, from drones, to lighting, fans, cameras, portable shower pumps, and headlamps is charged through 5 volt USB plugs. The Jackerys usually only have two ports. My Bluettis have four. Neither is enough. I've had to get an additional 6 slot 2.4 amp charging hub that plugs into one of the 110 volt outlets to keep up. One of the first things I do when I buy any piece of gear that runs on 12 volts is cut the power cord and insert a set of Anderson connectors in the line. That way I can mix and match power cords and plug types to suit what I need to do. This is especially helpful with hooking up solar panels for charging different brands of power stations.

Wow! Like John Huff blow I am a Texan from Whitney. Enjoyed your review, however, I will stick to my Bluetti AC200P does every thing I could ever ask for without the issues you and others seem to have with your current set up. Great assessment and video. Have a great weekend and God Bless in all you do.

Excellent review Jason. I would also like to see Anderson inputs and outputs for DC. My rooftop tent uses a Anderson type plug to supply power up there. A phone app to know how much juice remains would be nice for folks using the Jackery with a constant draw, I.e. fridge, etc…. Thanks again👍

I was a Jackery fanboy until my 2yr warranty ran out and just 3 months later my 1000 Explorer decided to just turn itself off and won't turn back on. It was fully charged when I plugged in my 37 qrt ARB fridge to ready for a camping trip. An hour later the unit had turned off and no amount of resets, attempted charging, etc.... it won't turn on. I contacted Jackery to see if there is any after warranty support in the way of a repair facility that I could ship it to and have it repaired (on my dime). Nope, and doesn't look like they plan to bother. So, now I am holding a very lightly used pretty $1000 brick. A five year warranty would have sufficed at this point as newer technology would most likely be available by then and worth an upgrade regardless if my Jackery was still running or not. Currently chatting with other brands regarding after warranty product support. Wish me luck!

I've been wondering if we're going to start seeing a lot more things that can talk to usb-c pd. - so in any case cool to see a few of those ports on there.

Very good review although I would add another CON - the AC plugs need to be further apart. A LOT of things these days have odd or larger than normal adapters and it's very challenging to plug them in while other ports adjacent are in use.

Good review but something to think about. The more bells and whistles you suggest for these manufacturers to install, the higher the pricing is for those of us who actually have to pay to get our hands on these units.

You’re keeping Jackery on their toes 😂 Everything you mentioned would make nomadic living more amazing with all that in a power station. They are good at listening to what the public asks for so you may get some of the things you mentioned. Or maybe make a Primal Outdoor Power Station. For the people by the people 😆🤙🏼

If Jackery is listening, they should make a variation on the 2 bigger models to include your suggestions and call them the Jackery 1000/2000 Primal Edition. Bet they would fly off the shelves

When talking about the 1000, you mentioned that physical size, and the output of the inverter were the only major differences between the 1000 and the 2000. It seems to me that the third and fourth major differences are arguably, the battery capacity, and the cost. The 1000 has approximately half the battery capacity of the 2000, and is priced at roughly half the cost.

There's still no perfect power station - just bought one of these, wish Bluettie had something with more power than the EB70s but still compact, wish the EcoFlow didn't have the big ol handles. Hope this will power a Keurig. I guess I'll see.

@@z14sniperzps43 too many to list. But a couple better options included the Bluetti and EcoFlow. My friends have Jackerys , I was going to buy one but dug in and researched. I bought two EcoFlow Delta’s and a River. My friends freaked out when they saw how powerful the EcoFlows inverter was and how fast it charged. EcoFlow is really advancing in every direction. Jackery has the best marketing and got a big boost using social media influencers. They get an A for marketing and a C for quality and innovation.

It's interesting when companies go so hard on sticking with proprietary connectors when there are plenty of alternatives that are more compatible with other products. It makes an otherwise good product less appealing to the consumer. Especially when your target market is adventurers, outdoorsmen, and preppers, you need a product that can mix and match with other gear.

Good review… One more thing get rid of the light. Who needs to be blinded by looking at a bright light while trying to hook up wires in the darkness. That wasted space could be used for something more useful… Oh and who uses a “cigarette socket” for anything? Eliminate that and go with more USB C receptacles.

I have been cutting all my lighter plugs off and replacing with more solidly connecting 12 volt connectors. There are a number of things that use 12 volt still, and it is helpful to have options. I would like to see other options for 12 volt, such as the Anderson connectors, xt60, xt90, or even a variety of those options. The lighter style is pretty antiquated and whatever you stick in there tends to vibrate out, but I wouldn't eliminate it without providing other 12 volt options. Another big drawback to those lighter style outlets is I have never seen any rated any higher than 10 amps on a solar battery pack, I have looked. I have a RoadPro Stove that came with that style of plug, also a Whynter fridge freezer. That stove pulls 12 amps, and will not run in either my Jackery 500 or my Bluetti AC200MAX. I cut off the original plugs, and rigged them up with xt60 connectors, to run off the Bluetti or solar. Now I just need to rig up an adapter for when I use that stove in the cab of my pickup and need the lighter receptacle.

In 2019, I have purchased bluetti EB150. Very good and expensive. But, there warranty, repair and service is 2 out of 10. I will never buy Bluetti. I had chance to buy two AC200 for $990/Indigo but I declined it. My next purchase will be Jackery. It is more expensive but HQ is in CA and warranty, services and repair is very good !!!!!!

My Bluetti AC50's state of charge meter stopped working and the solar panel plug doesn't seem to transfer full power to charge either. Bluetti customer service is very bad! I've been dealing with them on this warranty issue for over a month now. I sent them my unit like they asked, but can't get an answer on getting it back, or a replacement.
