My comedy hero since I first saw him in London back in 1991. I was blessed to have seen Jackie many times. I went to any theatre show he did here in London. One of my favourites being when Jackie played at the Royal Opera House and prior to that at the Royal Albert Hall. I've never heard laughter as loud before or since. Poignantly, I took my brother and mother to see Jackie's last big London theatre show. We were laughing so hard. A wonderful memory and like I wrote, a poignant one. R.I.P Jackie Mason

I remember my father sneaking me, an underage kid, into a club in the Catskills to see Jackie Mason. I was a little young to understand some of his comedy at the time. However my father who never laughed at anything had tears rolling down his eyes from this amazing man.

Mason was right, to complain about his chair. He was genuinely uncomfortable. That chair had a soft hole-like section near the back, that made him sink in and made his legs rise up. Mason's other option was to scoot forwards on the chair, which put him too far ahead of the host (making Mason have to twist his neck to face the host, or talk to the front corner of the desk (which he did for portions of his interview)). That chair looks like it is intended for a TV room, where you could slouch back, watch TV, and fall asleep. And that is the chair that a television show puts front and center for their guests. How could the show allow that chair for their guests? Did they just buy the chair out of a catalog, and never sat down in it ahead of a live show? Or did some schmuck on the show's staff sit down, as he would at home, and say to himself "This is great" (never envisioning that the chair was for the show, and not for his livingroom)? I am not making too much out of this. Every person who had anything to do with ultimately not testing the chair, and allowing that chair to be used by guests on the show, are incompetent. This is not some miscellaneous item or prop. It is the chair used by the guests, on camera. Very bad. Very bad.
