I love them for their music but they are truly a very dysfunctional family with a lot of issues they have not dealt with because they are trying to keep a "proper" public face. @scorpionJB

+Tt brown they were not lame, that's why this experience has turned into the most tragic ending I've ever seen in music...because of LIES.......the fact is that J-5 was the ultimate self contained musical act in the business for over 15 years when this stuff mattered most......lies have destroyed the dynamic in a way I've never seen.......and what's so said about all this, allot of today's black music followers are being led astray when it comes to the history of this family's musical legacy.......the fact is that Marlon worked with Michael in developing the group's dance routines, especially for their live concert shows....I know people of today dont' know this because of their comments.....Randy Jackson helped developed rhythm arrangements for many of the songs Michael penned for his album OTW....most people don't know this either, as well as co-writing songs such as Shake Your Body Down To The Ground....Jackie is the person who was the lead Jackson in writing the song Can You Feel It as well as the song Torture.....and none of this even happens if Tito didn't start playing his father's guitar when they were living in Gary, Indiana............Marlon's debut solo album Baby Tonight reached the top of the R&B charts in late 1987, supplanting MIchael's Bad from that spot..Marlon's video for his single Don't Go knocked MJ's Bad single from the top of the spot on shows such as Video Soul.........it's downright frightening how the whole history has been twisted.....but I'll never forget it thats' for sure

+scorpionJB That's my OPINION they were lame to me. After the group broke up they just wasn't it anymore.
@scorpionJB
8 жыл бұрын
+Tt brown but the facts are they were not lame, the truth is their careers along with Rebbie were sabotaged beginning in 1992, the truth is Marlon Jackson's debut solo album went double platinum but Billboard started the practice of distorting actual sales figures of r&b artists to destabilize the genre which is why r&b is finished as we speak, they undermined the black music record buyer beginning in the late 80s and that's why so many black performers of that time fell off.....the fact is Randy Jackson also had the #1 r&b single in the country on urban radio during the summer of 1989 before his record was pulled from rotation, same thing happened wit the brothers album 2300 Jackson STreet where you never heard from it ever again.....Jermaine went platinum, and I'm sure it was more than that in 1989 with his album Don't Take It Personal, w/the title track reaching the top of the r&b charts...........they were not leeching off of Michael, they were making good music in their own right before their careers were shut down...........it's downright sad what this is all come down to, but I'm a never forget, I refuse to be fooled when it comes to this
