I have had this guitar for a few months now as a beginner and I very happy with it. It looks awesome and feels great hold/play. I paired it with a LT 25 fender you reviewed and it’s great for clean playing and metal, at least for a beginner. Thank you so much for the review to help me feel good about my purchase. Thank you for your honest review! That dirt on the freatboard is some kind of epoxy coating, a very thin but hard layer, a new method in fast making that Chinese makers uses. My Jackson is the second guitar to have it on. I was able to pile it all off quite easily, it is bloody sickening, but there is a fine neck under that smear.

I coated the board in oil not much and in steps and first I fought that the wood grain was raisening but no it was that epoxy stuff coming loose! The last bit I swooped off with some 800 grit wetpaper dipped in oil and it came off very easy almost melted off, no scratches! For know with all that smear gone the board has turned to bee very dark almost black and those shark theets looks close to Abalone, the neck has an deep natural luster to it much nicer than before, realy nice actually.

Hello I'm from Brazil. I saw the 2 videos of the Yamaha Pacifica 012 and this Jackson model, (great videos, very well explained). I'm unsure which one to choose, I'm a beginner at guitar, but I play acoustic guitar. But I would like a guitar to play Indie, Metalcore (my favorite styles). Between the Jackson and the Yamaha Pacifica, which would be the best choice for these styles?
@guitaristnextdoor8430

Hello and nice to meet you! Brazil seems like a wonderful country. Which part of Brazil do you live in if I may ask? Let's move on to guitars... If you are aiming for metal...I would get the Jackson. Jackson is versatile as well. Pacifica offers your brighter single-coil tones...do you need those? Only you can answer that. If you do...then you get a really versatile guitar if you choose Pacifica. But you lose some of that Metal edge with that when compared to Jackson. Hopefully this helped! If you have any more questions, just ask! Thank you for commenting!

@@guitaristnextdoor8430 Hey men! Just an extra thing, I believe the wood for this guitar is actually basswood or something similar, and that the Jackson webpage has the JS12 and JS22 shifted, because the JS12 does say basswood even though it's the cheaper model.
@guitaristnextdoor8430

@Hellsing It might be possible, but not sure. I went with the Poplar because Jackson ( www.jacksonguitars.com/gear/shape/dinky/js-series-dinky-arch-top-js22/2910224568 ) and music retailers list the body as Poplar😎. Basswood and Poplar are both used in these cheaper guitars. And one other thing that got me quite confirmed that this JS22 has a Poplar body is the fact that JS32 is listed with Poplar body too, and when I did the investigation before making this video JS22 and JS32 are almost exactly the same guitars but JS32 has Floyd Rose-bridge. • The bad thing about guitars back in the "old days" (1980s): You had to spend a lot to get a new decent guitar. Any new guitar under $200 was complete JUNK and totally unplayable...we're talking about unadjustable string action an inch off the neck and loud buzzing when plugged into an amp. • The good thing about guitars these days: Thanks to brands like Epiphone and Squire, you can get a great guitar in the $100 range. • The good thing about guitars back in the "old days" (1980s): You could buy "old" guitars for next to nothing. In the 1980's, the term "vintage guitars" had yet to be invented. Example: Back in 1983, I bought a 1975 ivory white Fender Stratocaster for $200.00. (This allowed me to play out my Ritchie Blackmore fantasies in the mirror. 😄) Anyway, my point is this: Guitars are awesome. 🎸🎸 👍🏽😎 👍🏽 🎸🎸

I bought a js22 and wish I hadn't, I should have got an epiphone or ibanez instead (roughly same price). There's fret buzz on my e string. The fret wire sits really high. Markings on the fretboard, tremelo bar is too floppy, guitar nut is cheap plastic, wood on fretboard is really dried out it's supposed to be purple heart wood I very much doubt it as it's deep brown. i found my guitar after 4 years, and found out the connection and volume dial for using it are both busted, (I put it away for that reason to save up to either fix or replace it, forgot and thought I lost it.) it was a cheap $20 guitar my dad found on sale in a random store. so I decided it would be better to just save for a new better guitar, and either sell or fix on a later date my old one. this is the one I was looking to get, so I started watching.

Hi, why is it so hard for you to pronounce the word guitar!? It doesn't resemble the word even remotely, the way you pronounce it. Other than that, your English is fine. It's just that one "word", that stands out. What's confusing is, it's one of the most basic words in music history worldwide, like forever, so it realy sounds weird to hear it pronounced as "quitter", or whatever the way you're pronouncing it. This is just an observation, nothing personal.

Would you recommend this 7 string guitar? I got an ESP LTD M-17 7 that's almost 6 years old. Definitely will replace that guitar with this one. Will definitely test this guitar out with my DIgitech Drop pedal since I can't afford to buy an 8 string! Will this guitar allow me to tune it down to Drop G, and Drop E? Since it has a 26.5 inch scale. Let me know if you recommend this guitar! Fill free to subscribe to my youtube channel! Got over 100 subs and would love to get more subscribers! Just got same guitar. You can't beat it for 200. Pickups are really good but switching to solderles emg 81 85's. No defects on mine even after shipping. Intonation is whacked out with exception of high e. Matte finish is super slick and not a fingerprint magnet. Neck is seriously smooth. And the design just screams metal. Amazing guitar even if it cost more. Maybe I'll add locking tuners as well. I did get locking tuners, just ordered from stewmac . After I get it all installed my buddy will drop the action and intonate it. Can't wait.
