Badlands was a great band. The problem was they were lumped in with hair metal because jake played with Ozzy during ozzys "glam" years. As the seattle scene broke every one of those bands were ignored by their labels almost immediately. Another problem with Badlands was Ray had gotten sick and was noticeable "less healthy" (jakes words) during that second album. They would have been done no matter how big they would have gotten. Add in that Ray supposedly got a few women sick knowing what was wrong with him and badlands just gets a bad rap all around. IMO they were one of the most underrated bands in history. A shame.

Power house of a Band. Badlands was the most respected band in the Late 80's. Jake E Lee a Master Guitarist whom spread his wings very wide- Once his unfortunate journey with Ozzy and Sharon came to an End. Jake has all the Respect of his fans around the world, as well Other Musician's through the Globe. And most importantly the whole world knows: That if it was not for- MR. Jake-E-Lee- Bark at the Moon and The Ultimate Sin Albums- would had never had been Created... And Ozzy and Sharon would be still be living in and out of low budget Motels; and eating out of a Card board Boxes every day. Shame on them - For how they miss treated Jake for all those years!!

Love badlands, Jake to me always seems a bit more in his element with his badlands material, he can definitely melt faces (with the ozzy stuff) but to me that was just a job opportunity where he had to play and try and match Randy’s classical madness along with putting his own spin to it. Whereas here he’s playing the more classic/blues rock styled stuff that’s more true to him, can hear Hendrix and cream Clapton all over his playing in this video
