They were very rich. Jalapeños weren’t hot enough for us. I tried both ways, pre-baking the won-tons before filling seemed to work better than putting the filling into the raw wonton. Those were soft and a bit soggy on the bottom. I will keep playing with it to see what works best. Thanks!

Yea everything is trial and error. I know different ovens, and cook wear effects things too. I am saving for a new over (this is why you never see mine on Camera lol) but am going to have to re-learn with it. I know I just got a new grill and the heating is completely different.

Awesome! Thanks! I don't think I'll ever take forever to stuff jalapeños anymore after this!

Thanks for your reply. I’m trying these tomorrow. I bought egg roll wrappers in error but by cutting them into 4 equal pieces, they seem to fit fine in the cups. Fingers crossed. Thx.

You didn’t bake the wontons first and they evidently still crisped up. I’ve seen recipes that pre-bake the wonton. Also are smaller than what I bought. Did you cut them down?

The first time I made a cup recipe ( it was't this one) I would pre-bake them. Over time I played with temps and times and figured out I don't have to and can still get them crips and to hold their shape. No I didn't have to cut these down. I wonder if different brands are different sizes.

That was my thought as well. As they say on Great British Baking Show, I don’t want a “soggy bottom”. I’ve got to take these to an event so I’m wondering if it would be better to blind bake them first. I also considered maybe a light spray avocado or olive oil to help them crisp up. I have a lot to make so plenty of opportunity to play with the recipe!

That looks super delicious! could I substitute those wanton sheets for spring roll sheets? If I cut them smaller I think that could work.

I think it should be fine, the spring rolls may cook a little quicker so I would keep an eye on it the first time. Other than that shouldn't be an issue.
